I would like to commend the front desk and medical staff for their exceptional professionalism. I have been a patient of Dr. Fierro and his associates for over 16 years. Throughout this time, Dr. Fierro and his team have consistently demonstrated a commitment to staying current with the latest medical practices. They provide thoughtful recommendations that support patients in achieving optimal health.

I am a lifetime patient of this office and I have recently come to terms that they will never improve. The front desk is incredibly rude and treat my health like a business. They cannot handle simple tasks. They seem to not even review a patients chart before calling back after a request and saying “you need to come in for an appointment” even though I was there weeks ago. Every single time I need a prescription refill, there’s a problem with the office and it is like going through hell just to get my medicine. I am searching for a new doctor and would not recommend this office to anyone I know.

This happened a month ago. I called into the office requesting to have an appointment with Katie ( a provider who I have seen if you look into my chart). When I called it was 12:15 and they take there a little later. Which is fine no worries. I speak to a front desk person who was very rude not pleasant. I inform her that I needed an appointment with Katie for a follow up being as though she informed me my provider left. When I told her I want Katie she immediately said I couldn’t schedule with her because I would be a new patient. I am in the health career I know when the cut off is for a new patient. She didn’t like I said that. When i told her I am not a new patient I saw Katie before, she placed me on hold. When she came back she said her books was filled and I would have be with someone else. Not once did she accept my preference or asked when I wanted to be seen. She never offered to see when she is first available for me to schedule with her. Very rude, not polite. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE YOUR JOB FIND ANOTHER ONE. There was no even apology or call back call to me to figure out the issue and how to fix it. My family comes and sees Katie and I been there since birth. I will not be treated like I am customer or accept rudeness or accept a person that goes over my preferences. I would rather go to Christiana Care who values their patients and are respectful. By the looks of the reviews seems like this isn’t a good place to call family practice or follow their core values while speaking on the phone. Like sorry if I interrupted anything before I called.

After being a long time patient of the practice, I would not expect to be treated with such dismissiveness. The receptionist and other patient facing admin staff are horribly rude, demeaning, and condescending. They actually hang up on patients if they pose a difficult question or situation that they need help with. This is a true shame because the actual medical providers have been professional and appropriate. I would not recommend doing business with this practice if you wish to be treated with dignity and respect!

I’m not even a patient here yet and i’m scared to even try with this office. They were highly recommended from a family member and i’m desperately seeking a new PCP so I decided to look more into this place. Every fear and concern I had has been confirmed to happen here after reading what your patients have to say! Disgusting and disappointing to say the least and so happy I did my research first.

What an incredibly rude office who recently demonstrated what seems like borderline malpractice with patient disclosures. I was a patient for approximately 5 years and all of that relationship building was thrown out due to a lack of communication and an office staff that quite literally hangs up on patients.

I called this practice 9 times over a 2 week period in an attempt to schedule a new patient visit (their website states they are accepting new patients). They NEVER answer the phone and half the time the call will not even connect. I left messages on 4 occasions and received a call back once at a time I was unavailable to take it with no message left. I have given up and will attempt to connect with a more responsive practice. Giving 2 stars with the benefit of the doubt that their actual medical care has to be somewhat better than the admin side of the business.

It took me two years to realize why Dr. Fierro is always accepting new patients, because some patients simply don’t stick with the practice, and leave, for a number of reasons. First of all, he runs his practice strictly like a business. Dr Fierro says hello to you when you first become a patient, and after that, you never interact with him again. Secondly, you wont get a warm and fuzzy feeling walking in there. The money meter starts running the second you walk in, and if your office visit goes beyond ten minutes, cha-Ching. Lastly, with the exception of the PA’s and NP’s
who are fantastic and actually are the ones treating the patients, the rest of the staff is mediocre at best and in fact can be rude at times. I too have had some issues with things not being “coded correctly” when sent to insurance for approval or bills sent to me instead of insurance, ect. I’ve also considered finding another practice as well, but I like Michelle (NP) because she is thorough and very knowledgeable, which is why I’m still a patient.
