My boyfriend and I met with Dr. Nick Patel a few days ago to discuss the option of having surgery due to a diagnosed problem called Bilateral AVN in both of my hips. I (barely) walked in thinking there was absolutely NO way I was ever going to let anyone perform surgery on any part of my body. To my surprise, I left with such confidence that I am actually ready to have this done thanks to Dr. Patel explaining things in words I could actually understand. I definitely felt as though he was a Dr. I could trust to do this operation. As soon as I figure out a good timing in my schedule, I will be calling to have this done! I never thought anyone would change my mind about this! I highly recommend this location, Dr. Patel and his staff!!

Attentive to detail about patient and patient's situation, as well as after the surgery. Follow-up is excellent. Dr. Nick and his staff shepherded me through every step of the knee-replacement process, gave all possible advice and assistance, and facilitated a 5-star outcome. No complaints, only praise. I had a very positive experience at Delaware Orthopedic Specialist facility. While carrying a toolbox I tripped and fell on my driveway. I thought I fractured my kneecap. I phoned DOS facility instead of going to the hospital emergency room. I did this because of my wife’s previous episode. After her fall I had taken her to the hospital and went through the ER experience. She ended up getting referred to DOS following x-rays anyway. DOS has the necessary X-ray capabilities and by calling them first I did skip the hospital ER adventure . I ended up being seen by a very capable orthopedic doctor and were taken care of without the additional hassle of an ER Facility .

I can't say thank you enough. I was in so much pain, I called and within 10 minutes I was called back and told to come asap. The care and compassion was amazing. The treatment provided the relief I needed and while I'm still getting better I am able to walk. Dr. Patel and his staff are really good and so kind.

Six weeks past knee replacement, recovery is going great. Dr. Nick Patel did an amazing job. I'm pain free but I have a lot of work ahead of me. That old knee was a wreck. Already walking with the cane and working toward getting rid of it.
