A Disappointing Experience at St. Augustine Foot, Ankle & Vein. I recently had an appointment with Dr. Thomas Anthony Lebeau for an infection checkup on March, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by misleading information and unexpected charges.

Upon arrival, as a self-pay patient, I paid the initial doctor’s visit fee of $160. After examining my nail, for which I had to wait 40 minutes even though I had an appointment. The doctor informed me that they needed to take a sample for lab testing, which would incur an additional $120 charge. I was assured by both the doctor and the staff that this was the extent of the charges when I asked if there were any other charges in my case other than the medicine cost. Also, I wasn’t informed about the charges that was due on that day, which was later mailed to me.

However, the ordeal began when I waited patiently for the lab results, expecting a call as agreed upon. To my dismay, no call came. It wasn’t until I reached out in April that I was informed the results were ready, and I was presented with treatment options. I was then asked to pay $120 for the lab test, which I thought was for the lab report.

To compound matters, I am now receiving a bill from the lab where my samples were sent, despite being under the impression that it was covered in my second payment,adding to the confusion and frustration. When I reached out to Clinic, I was informed that $120 charge was for their service, separate from the lab test fee, which was never explicitly communicated to me during my visit. After I discussed my situation with the front desk I was assured to be called back, but it’s been a week since I called and I haven’t heard back yet.

This lack of transparency and failure to disclose additional charges is not only disappointing but also unacceptable. As a patient, I rely on clear communication and honesty from healthcare providers, especially when it comes to financial matters. Unfortunately, my experience at this Clinic fell short of these expectations.

In conclusion, I urge the clinic to review their billing practices and ensure that patients are fully informed about all potential charges upfront to avoid any further instances of confusion and dissatisfaction.

Called on a Monday at 10AM to make a new patient appointment. Was told by a pleasant lady on the phone the office manager would call me to make appointment. After waiting 24 hours, I called another practice, was able to schedule an appointment during that call.

Called this practice back to let them know I found someone else, but not before I was told the manager would be getting around to make those appointments today. To late.

Dr. LeBeau and his staff were the whole package. Professional, caring, and informative. I felt like everyone that I witnessed cared about the people that they were dealing with. Such a rarity these days. My husband noticed also while he was in the waiting room waiting for me. I believe I'm in good hands.

He explained what he was doing, took his time with me and made feel 100% comfortable with the entire situation. Can’t recommend higher, exceptional experience.

My first visit today, everyone was polite, pleasant, and kind. I found the doctor knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. With a broken toe, I was hoping for a quick solution, but will have to be patient and follow doctor’s orders. No hesitation in future visits, and I would recommend this practice.

I am very upset with how I was treated during the vein blocking procedure. The woman, Jen, the assistant that did the whole procedure was very rude, physically and her whole demeanor. I won't even go there again

What an amazing experience! Dr. Lebeau was very patient and articulated so well the plan for my foot care. The entire staff was very cordial and accommodating. So happy they were able to fit me on such short notice. A+++++
