Was looking for a doctor closer to my home. I was blown away how extremely rude and arrogant he was. I would rather drive an hour in opposite direction than go 5 minutes down the road to feel like that. I couldn’t imagine having to keep him as my primary. I would rather be sick and in pain than have to be stuck in a room with him for more than 30 seconds. Should have acknowledged the other reviewers, they were right. Went right back to my doctor thats further away.

He should be brought in front of the medical board!!! Dr Tafur is arrogant, uncaring, very quick and impatient with people, and does not have the best interest of his patients at heart. My parents have been with him for four years when they both experienced numerous health conditions one after the other after the other for a year now. It's been Beyond extremely tough on my mom, my father and me. He finally decided because there were so many complications between trying to get medications filled from the long-term care facility and their pharmacy calling to me calling and asking questions to me actually being there in the appointments with my mom ( she has Alzheimer's I needed someone there to give all correct information ) and he didn't like that. I walked out of there that day in tears which never happens. We were then given notice that he will no longer be taking my parents on in his practice. We were told a letter was sent out but were never given a phone call to explain why. We still have yet to get that letter. When we ask for a script for physical therapy which we were promised is the one last thing he would do, it was denied the day we were sitting in the office waiting for the appointment and should have already been there. Not to mention my parents are in an extremely critical stage where they need A primary doctor handling their day today medications and refills. He's refused to fill their medications for both of parents and said that while he would handle them for the 30 day period that he is required by law, he would not do anything further for them such as office visits, medication scripts we direly needed and essentially anything else. So what good does it do to have him available for 30 days if you won't do anything for them. He put us in an extremely hard position because the new doctor couldn't get us in until the end of June. In the meantime my father was re-hospitalized two days later after this happened and does not have a primary care doctor to oversee his condition. Dr. Tafur denied his pain medications as well which he has been on for a number of months/years due to severe back pain. My father is in a wheelchair and essentially gone through so much and can barely walk. I consider this a case of true patient abandonment. This man is egotistical, rude, and does not take time to explain, understand or care about his patients. What he cares about most is being right. His nurse is also extremely rude, unhelpful and does not return phone calls. I've had numerous complaints from other people we were dealing with and as well as a stranger who shared a very sad story with us about this doctor blaming her husband for faking and withholding morphine when it turned out he had a terminal condition and died two days later. Do you not see this doctor at all cost. You will be sorry.

My husband and I moved to The Villages a few months ago and looking for a new Primary Care Physician. My husband saw Dr. Tafur first and he said that he liked him because gave him facts. I made an appointment and it is going to be my last one for sure!
I worked in the Medical field for twenty years and see many different styles on how to talk to patients and I agree with the reviews that this doctor is rude, thinks he knows it all and shows no empathy! His CNA or LPN (not sure if she was a RN) was very rude as well while taking my information. I have been allergic to statins for years and tried a few different brands and when I told him, he asked me if it was a real allergy or if it was in my head! Unbelievable!
My husband second visit with him was not better then mine and he decided not to go back to see him!
Dr. Tafur, go back to school and learn again how to have better manners with patients, you can certainly use a refreshing course!

I have been going to Dr. Tafur office for about 2 years now. I have Him, his Wife and the office TEAM to be amazing. I will tell you, what you put out into the universe is what you get. Both Dr. Tafur and his beautiful wife have been right on point with every health issue that I have had. I would say if you can't handle the truth, then don't go. I have found Dr. Tafur to be very honest, upfront and consistent, which is amazing qualities to look in a Doctor. Thank you for the wonderful care and education you provide to me. I would like to add that sometimes when people leave a review, it might be beneficial if you look up all of their reviews. You may see that the common denominator is the person writing the review. Perhaps they are just an unhappy person and have a hard time making lemonade out of lemons. "NOT JUDING, JUST SAYING" If a person can only leave negative reviews for everything, perhaps the problem is the person and NOT everyone else.

My husband and I have been seeing him for four years. We take my 99 year old mom to him. When you’re sick, they get you in that day. They have never messed up an appointment. They have connected us to great specialists. They call with results of tests as soon as they get them. He spends as much time with you as you need. He’s up on research. He wants you to be healthy first and foremost. He treats us all as adults. So happy to have them all. Fabulous staff who have been there for years.

Wonderful practice with caring, professional individuals serving the Villages. I purchased a home in the Villages in 2015. I relocated from Maryland. I am a retired Federal civil servant. My primary physician is Angel Tafur. My mother, my sister/family and my best friend have all relocated here also. One of our family members is a Johns Hopkins transplant patient. They all have the Tafur's as their primary physicians. I would not have provided this recommendation if I didn't have full trust in their practice. We are confident in the Tafur's abilities to provide the best care possible in The Villages.

I have been going to Dr. Tafur for 14 years he and his staff are the absolute best!! His staff is always so kind, caring and helpful. Dr.Tafur always finds a way to make me feel better. He listens to all of my concerns and explains everything to me. I would Recommend his office to anyone.
