I want to express my sincere appreciation for OPPT Wesley Chapel and Leanne Updike, DPT. Leanne helped with my sciatica pain a few years ago and I made a complete recovery then. I was confident that she would help me with my stiff and sore neck issues now. After working with me for a few weeks my neck feels so much better. She answered all my questions, and even helped me improve my form so I don’t hurt myself in the future. My posture has improved, and I am able to drive and do office work without next pain. i want to take a moment to recognize a truly wonderful physical therapist, as well as the entire staff I have come to know as a group who truly advocate for each of their patients/clients, with each and every treatment visit I have experienced at OPPT - Wesley Chapel. The therapist who worked with, on and for me, is Mrs. Leanne Updike.

This highly skilled professional was truly glad to see me each and every time I arrived for my therapy, sometimes twice a week. She helped me when we were trying to resolve a heel pain and then when my surgeon indicated that a surgery was indicated for proper repair and resolution to my Achilles tendon and heel bone problems, Leanne worked with me post-operation to get me back to a pre-problem walk and gait. In my eyes, she was the one who kept me buoyed during the hard and painful times, the one who saw the incremental improvements that I could not or would not see. As well, she was the one who navigated me to full return of function, mobility and a pain free use of my leg once again. Yes, the surgeon did a wonderful job during the surgery, but equally importantly, was that he was the one who referred me to OPPT for pre and post physical therapy.

Now, I have another surgery needed and planned for after the first of the year, which is to repair my right rotator cuff. After recovery and healing occurs, I will return to Leanne at OPPT for physical therapy. I have every confidence she will get me back to pre-problem status once again!

So, friends and strangers alike, I tell you honestly and clearly that Leanne Updike is a true credit to herself, OPPT and the entire physical therapy industry of the New Tampa / Wesley Chapel area. An additional fact is that I am a retired insurance claims adjuster of over 38 years of practice in Florida, and therefore, I am a skeptic at most things I first encounter regarding repairs or replacements whether it be property or one's body.

I was referred to OPPT due to Compression Fracture. Immediately I was impressed with the appointment process. Very professional but friendly. Upon my first visit I was evaluated by Leanne , DPT. Leanne understood my fear/pain level and was assuring, cautious and understanding. As PT progressed I had additional symptoms that Leanne immediately addressed and encouraged more evaluation from physician. She was spot on with her recommendation. Leanne and Ginger tag teamed my care and I cannot say enough about the care and professionalism shown by both. When you can say you enjoyed going to therapy that in itself says OPPT is wonderful. OPPT is the best physical therapy clinics that I have utilized. Leeanne Updike was my pt and she is extremely knowledgable about the types of therapies required for each condition and how to expertly apply them for maximum results. My physician referred OPPT to me while recovering from prostate cancer. Under Leeanne's care, I have regained most of my former strength and stamina. She helped me regain my flexibility that I have not had in years. I am now able to do work and enjoy activities that I was felt were lost. All of the staff was very kind and gracious during a difficult time for me, and I will never be able to thank them enough.

Alivia at OPPT is a wonderful physical therapist! She is very patient and kind throughout each appointment. She also is very motivating during the exercises. Even with more than one patient at a time, she is very attentive and the appointment always felt personalized. She gave great at-home instructions and took time to explain them so the therapy continued between appointments. The PT sessions I had with Alivia were the first time I felt improvement after trying other options. Thank you, Alivia, for all your healing help! The front desk staff are also very efficient and helpful. Check ins/outs were always a breeze.
