Da pena saber que es la unica emergencia que tenemos en el lugar, justo aqui donde hay tantas personas de la 3ra edad, el director o directora deberia poner mas asunto en la emergencia ya que aqui los pasientes los ponen a esperar por horas, y no porque este lleno no eso es lo que le dicen a los pasientes pero todas las camillas estan vacias adentro, y no es porque fui y me dejaron esperando una vez, yo he ido varias veces he ido con mi hija, con mi nuera, con mi nieta y muchas veces preferimos trasladardos hasta tallahassee, pero entonces para que tenemos una emergencia aqui si no funciona. Deven de restructurar lo que tengan que restructurar para que funcione y mirar si es que ya hay demaciada confianza entre los empleados para que los cambien, pero la verdad es que la manera en que estan trabajando no funciona. Porque vuelbo y le repito sabe lo que que durar horas afuea con las camas VACIAS disque esperando que se vacie una, minimo el personal esta durmiendo en ellas y hay que esperar a que ellos se levanten. Deven poner mas atencion en esto es una sala de emergencias no es una sala de sus casa

This is the worst hospital ever. My brother is the only one in the waiting room. Going on 3 1/2 hrs when he the only one in the waiting room. I have been in my car waiting I have yet to see Emergency vehicle (ambulance) to come to this hospital.. these nurses and doctors don’t care about these patients these day. It’s Ridiculous that these nurses make $68,000.00 a year and these doctors make $110,000.00 a year. You would this they care about these patients and do there jobs. My brother tells me that the nurse at the front deck as a really nasty attitude.

I am so grateful for the amazing care that the MCMH ER staff provided for my mother! She experienced a very frightening medical event while traveling alone with her 2 small dogs and 4 hours away from anyone she knew. Luckily she was close to MCMH, and I was able to direct here there. The team there was so compassionate and helpful! I called ahead, and they had a staff member meet her at the front door, they made arrangements for her small dogs, and they identified and treated her issue in just a couple of hours.

Well. My wife and I are planning on moving up to Madison now that I am retired. We recently moved my mother into our home, so I wanted to check out the medical that is available in the area. After reading the reviews, I may have to rethink our plans, worried that we may not get the medical help we may need for the proper care she will need.

I am recently new to Madison county and am coming from miami/Miramar Florida. I have had several experiences with different hospitals and their techniques so my comparison would be a little critical. That being said here is my experience at the Madison County Memorial Hospital:

I am an asthmatic and currently 5 months pregnant. I came into the hospital because I had an asthma attack but did not find relief after taking my rescue inhaler. Everyone was slow. Granted it’s 2:30am and they’re probably tired but this is the ER, please show a sense of urgency! I was the only person there as a patient. Took 15 minutes for anyone to initially see me when entering (this includes ringing the bell), no one has yet to properly introduce themselves so I don’t know anyone’s name or position unless asked. Took about 30-45 minutes for someone to see me after triage. They did not show any sensitivity or urgency to care for me and I did express that my chest was slightly hurting from the coughing. Discharge was another 30 minutes. No effective communication just question and answer. Inattentive, unenthusiastic, no sense of urgency, overall terrible experience. I left around 5am.

I was able to get a treatment at least which did help some of the breathing issues. Due to the lack of concerns, I was grateful for an immediate discharge because even when I went to the bathroom it was unsanitary; there was a poop stains at the edge of the toilet seat and the floors were extremely dirty. Never been to such a terrible hospital. I will try live oak or even Tallahassee despite the drive.

Went to the ER because my 2 year old daughter had fallen and needed stitches. Now the 3 stars is because of my overall experience. The nurses and the nurse practitioner were wonderful and I could not have been any happier with the care my daughter received. (5 stars just for them) But... other than that. The receptionist was ok she typed 1 word a minute and they asked us to sit and they would see us ASAP. I have done triage before and although not bad a bleeding head wound from a toddler got high priority. But I think it was because the receptionist was slow with paperwork. While waiting there was other people in the waiting room and even though the door to the ER was locked all anyone needed to do is knock and you could get in without any questions. Although it's not a big deal where I'm from that is extremely dangerous. When we left we were warned that we need to call and make sure they bill our insurance on time because sometimes they take so long that the insurance will not cover it because they waited to long. When we went to get the stitches removed again the nurse and actual care we received was great but the the receptionist (which was a different one) barely spoke English and made check it confusing but she was nice.

On Thursday, 8-25-22, I brought my mother to outpatient for a cat scan for possible stroke. We arrived at 3:58 to a locked door, the saw the sign saying closed at 4:00. I don’t care when you close by I require accurate information.
Then I walked my frail mom to emergency. She got a cat scan at about 5:00pm and was told result wouldn’t be available within 45 minutes. I checked a couple times before leaving in disgust at 9:00pm. The next day I had to go back for the results and found they were signed at 6:30pm. Horrible service.

If I could give this place a zero I would. I had a piece of metal stuck in my eye 2 years ago. I came to this hospital to have the metal removed. They told me that they couldn't do it because there was no optometrist on staff. I talked to the nurse in the triage room and had my blood pressure checked. At that time I was told they could not help. I said Ok and left. Never even seen a doctor. They sent me a bill for 2000 dollars and change. So I called and complained. They dropped the bill to 400 then 180 Now I'm getting harrassment from their bill collectors. For a service I never received. Every time I have called to remove the false billing I am met with nasty representatives. They refuse to remove the erroneous bill. They even went as far as to lie and say that I saw a doctor there. I never left the triage room nor seen a doctor. But yet I'm billed for seeing one. I'm disgusted. They go for your pockets just like so many other medical establishments in this state.
