I saw Dr. Alexandru as a new patient following two visits to a primary care provider and the ER. He immediately diagnosed my condition, provided me with a reasonable treatment plan, and answered all my questions clearly and accurately. He also had an excellent bedside manner. I am highly satisfied and plan on returning for follow-up care.

A friend recommended that I visit Dr. Vakil at the Punta Gorda office. My experience was horrible and I will not return again! Parking was minimal but I did manage to parallel park in the street. I waited for 45 minutes to be seen by the doctor. When I was finally called back by one of the assistants, she took me for x-rays of my foot. The assistant was not pleasant and didn't ask how I was or excuse herself for their delay. We proceeded to go directly to the x-ray machine. She fiddled with the machine that did not appear to be working. First it was the cable connecting the machine that seemed to have issues. The x-ray machine was quite antiquated. At one point, she told me to stand while she continued to fiddle with the computer (that managed the x-ray machine). I finally sat down since I had been standing for about 10 minutes. Several other assistants attempted to help and they seemed to think it was a software issue - but no one could resolve the issue. Finally, Dr. Vakil appeared but he did not offer any help and seemed to be busy with another patient. After about 15 minutes, I stood up and told the receptionist that I was leaving. I wasted 1 hour of my time and there was no apologies from any of the staff. I will not return to this office or this practice. Overall, the staff was inconsiderate, the wait was too long, and their machinery was antiquated and defective.
