Dr. Johnston has seen me about my Arthritis in both shoulders and both knees. In both instances he has suggested injection treatments and physical therapy before considering replacement surgeries. He has been honest and kind in caring for me, and I see him as recommended by my boyfriend, who's both shoulders he did surgeries on. And we would recommend him again.

I was able to get in to see my Dr. With a short notice. The location is conveniently placed and parking was so easy. Once I arrived and checked in, I was called into the exam room. I was able to get X-rays, then discuss them with Dr. Richard Johnston.

He addressed my concerns. I will follow up if needed. I have seen Dr. Johnson over a period of 20 years, when needed. I recommend him and his group.

15+ I have been having follow up visits with Dr. Richard Johnston since my surgery March 9, 2022. Every visit is pleasant and he LISTENS to every concern I had. He has been a godsend to me and I'm so grateful my girlfriend referred me to him. He always takes his time with you and he never seems rushed. I saw him today May 26th and he was happy to see me smiling because there were a few times I was crying because my knee was hurting so bad. He's tried different methods of treatment for me and I feel like I'm on the road to a full recovery. Keeping my fingers crossed because after a certain age everything starts breaking down? The entire experience and staff was very professional and friendly. The best person by far was Julie in scheduling. Yay Julie!

Dr Johnston was wonderful. Didn’t rush me and allowed me to talk through my issues.

Only negative was the 30 minute wait beyond my appointment time.

I was told to bring my list of medications which they never asked for. The information in MyChart was incorrect. My pc dr apparently does not update it; current one medication taking not there. Dr. Johnston didn’t tell me he was prescribing a medication so I didn’t know until I received a call from pharmacy.

But, I would give staff and office procedures a 9.5 for sure.

Dr. Johnston who has operated on me 3 times has my complete trust. I visited him today on a new knee injury. He takes the time to explain the findings, gives his advise and at all times is professional yet friendly. I travel two hours to see him and wouldn’t think of putting my care in anyone else’s hands.

OrthoAtlanta is an outstanding, well managed, professional facility in every way. I have just completed treatment for a rotator cuff repair. The first day I visited this office, they were introducing a new computer system; and sometimes it doesn't go just like it should! And I was the first appointment of the day! Amidst the computer issues that day the office staff remained professional and patient focused. They are always attending to the patient and making sure the patient’s needs are met. My rotator cuff needed a surgical repair. Dr. Richard Johnston is outstanding! He took all the time needed to explain the procedure, why it needed to be done, what my recovery would be like; then invited my questions and answered them all completely and very patiently. My surgery and recovery was smoother than I could ever imagined. This office has it all, great interface with Physical Therapists, MRI consultants and radiologists. I would also like to commend my Physical Therapist Kamilah Reeder. She’s tough, but she’s also competent, caring and focused on the patient’s recovery.
I hope I never need to return – but if I do find myself in need of Orthopedic Care I will not hesitate to return to OrthoAtlanta.

Had major knee surgery 2weeks ago an Dr. Johnston was the best. I saw a couple dr.s before him an he was the only one who explained the whole procedure to me. Now my rehab is going great an the staff is awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone.
