There have been many requests recently for primary care doctors to be recommended. I feel compelled to share my opinion. And yes, I know it is “just my opinion” however, I’ve been put in several circumstances in life that required me to research both diagnosis, procedures, and physicians. If you feel I’m being harsh and close minded, I apologize to you. This week marks the 7th anniversary of my moms death. This physician did not monitor her care or even react to her passing. If you feel the need to share why you disagree, please be polite or just pm me. I’m not picking fights with anyone & if you’re a current patient and happy, this post is not for you. As I said, there have been many requests for recommendations…this is mine.
I DO NOT recommend Dr Schoeffler. My mother’s care was not good. He prescribed antibiotics based on what she said over the phone, without labs or visits…REPEATEDLY! By the time I got her into Emory University Hospital she was so full of infection it’s a wonder she lasted the 10 weeks she did. I would hate for other families to experience this pain. I was with my mother at a few in patient visits and when I asked questions about other treatments I knew were available to her, he responded very negatively towards me and did not appreciate my being there at all. I fear for the older ones in our community who are alone, without an advocate to help them get the care they need.

We were extremely pleased with his service. One of our biggest concerns with moving was finding a Doctor who would also respect and treat us in the manner that we request as our doctor in Florida did. He is highly rated in our book as a caring, thoughtful and excellent physician.

Dr. Schoeffler listens to you and answers questions so that you can understand them. He also gives you treatment choices when available. We drive up from south Florida twice a year to keep him as our Dr. My husband has been seeing him for 25 years or so, myself for about 15. The down side is trying to call the office. You almost always have to leave a message with a recording. The girls may or may not return your call.

If I could post a (-5) star rating, I would. I am a doctor and would not recommend this physician to anyone. Dr Schoeffler is the reason my healthy, competitive running dad had a stroke at 69yo. He took my dad off of cholesterol meds and aspirin without good reason, saw my dad the day he initially had symptoms of a stroke and SENT HIM HOME after a single blood test while my dad was so dizzy and off balance he couldn’t walk. Thus, my dad was not eligible for TPA and now has residual deficits he will never overcome. Dr Schoeffler should not be practicing medicine.

Dr. Andre Schoeffler is the very best doctor in the world. Has always got me out of pain, never put me in pain. He is pleasant, has a good sense of humor and so very smart, because he listens, the first time you tell him.

I have been using Dr. Schoeffler for almost five years after having a heart attack. He has been nothing but kind & honest with me. I suffer from severe PTSD & anxiety about going to a Dr or a hospital (as well as from other things) I don't feel as anxious as I usually do because I have gotten to know him better. I am thankful to find a Dr I can talk to & he listens.

First time visiting... new doctor for both myself and my mom. Within the first five minutes he learned my 80 year old Mom loved ice cream... so he wrote a prescription for two scoops daily with whipped cream! I put the prescription in my memory book! Just a fantastic doctor! Ellen Hoss
