Not only is Dr. Sachar a very pleasant person, demonstrating confidence, he is extremely talented and knowledgeable. The breaks in my wrist were not very usual , thus required the expertise of Dr Sachar to ensure my recovery would to full. AND it is proceeding that way! I can't thank Dr. Sacher and his staff enough.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sachar for a complicated DRUJ injury. Yesterday he preformed a surgery inserting an April implant into my arm. Dr. Sachar has been very kind, helpful, and explains the good and the bad of the procedures to allow you to make the most informed decisions. I highly recommend him and I’m so thankful that Dr. Rovak referred me to him!

They’re the ‘BEST of the best’ for a good reason…

After getting an evaluation from someone else about potentially having Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) – misguided mind you – I sought someone better for a second opinion.

Prepared with pages of questions, I was ready for anything I was told, even a recommendation of surgery- the numbness, pain and tingling really was ‘that’ bad. Not resting and losing sleep Every.Single.Night. Not being able to brush your teeth (let alone floss), fasten your own clothing (heaven forbid if you live alone), forget seatbelts. Being at my wits end and positively miserable didn’t begin to scratch the surface.

I had made an appointment for Dr. Viola a couple of months before, but an opening came up for Dr. Sachar and jumped at the chance.

The day of my appointment I was wound so tight, you could have spooked me and I would have shot through the ceiling. I was excited and nervous at the same time, unable to imagine finally getting a diagnosis.

The PA Jessica came in and went straight to the testing, explaining absolutely everything as she went. So calming, and exuded confidence, it was easy to trust her information. That was the second relief – all the detailed information. She performed the Phalen’s maneuver, Carpal Compression Test, Tinel’s sign, range of motion tests, an ‘opposition’ test that Dr. Sachar himself developed, and this remarkable pricking test called ‘two-point discrimination’. Dr. Sachar arrived, smiled when he saw all my notes, and repeated some of the tests. He gently and oh-so-thoroughly described the condition, and answered all the normal questions of a great reporter – who, what, when, where, and why.

I knew in my gut the ‘other’ person was waaaaaay off base, and soooooo glad I trusted my instinct.

Dr. Sachar said my case of CTS was sooooooooooo severe, he said an EMG was not necessary and that I would be going into surgery within a week. Flabbergasted, this ordeal would be over just a short week away. Then he asks if I had any questions – well, just a couple, because he covered it all, in wonderful detail, with absolutely NO unanswered questions.

Emails from his team followed, with plenty of information of preparation before and after surgery, and of course directions to the surgery center.

Fast forward to waking up in the recovery room. The numbing and tingling totally disappeared, including bending my elbow.

No billing surprises before surgery or after… none what-so-ever, which is a fantastic thing, and another small relief.

And the wide variety of my questions…. Dr. Sachar’s whole team responded in a timely manner to absolutely *all* of my questions. I didn’t feel like a number. Not a single person ignored me, or treated my numerous questions as trivial, like in a visit elsewhere. Those that I spoke to on the phone were soooooooo patient, and very pleasant – not pushy or overbearing. Carmen, Kate, Jonathan and Jessica - their stellar attention to detail is so awe-inspiring, you know you made the right decision.

It’s not just now ‘nice’ they are to you or how good your insurance coverage is. These folks are ‘THE BEST of the best’ for lots of good reasons.

Should I need my other hand done, the decision is very clear – I’ll definitely see Dr. Sachar again!

I could share many more details, but the number of characters allowed is very limited...

I’ve had two ECU repairs with Dr. Sachar and I have nothing negative to say. I find him quite friendly, but straight to the point, and for an Ortho, I was surprised at how little ego he displays (after two years’ worth of surgical follow ups for two different wrists, I’ve seen him ALOT). Surprised to be reading posts regarding his “ego.”

Jonathan, his PA, is awesome and super helpful. Carmen and the rest of his team are super responsive and friendly as well. My hands and wrists are doing great and I have nothing, but positive reviews about he and The Steadman Clinic.

This guy is the most apathetic doctor I have ever seen. He's got a fake front that is initially friendly but will turn on a dime the instant he decides he doesn't want to help you.

I have a problem with my wrists. I can't do planks or put pressure on my wrists while bent without a lot of pain. I'm very certain I'm not the first person to experience this yet this doctor said he had no idea what was wrong and didn't care to investigate further. He just straight up gave up. He literally said "I don't know what to tell you" and left me without any sort of help, guidance, or suggestions. Just an "oh well" attitude, guess I have to live with messed up wrists at 24 years old for the rest of my life! He did not refer me to another hand doctor when I asked for suggestions since he had no clue what was wrong and didn't care to help. Absolute negligence.

I called and asked if my MRI results were normal and they insisted I needed to make an appointment and come in for him to go over the results. I told them if they are normal I'm going to be pretty upset to waste an hour driving to the location, taking time off work, charging my insurance and paying my copay for nothing. GUESS WHAT. Results were normal. (EDITED TO ADD: I saw a different hand surgeon after this guy and was told the MRI Dr Kulvinder looked at was NOT normal).

He seriously spent LESS THAN A MINUTE with me on TWO occasions and billed insurance $300 for an appointment! After 30 seconds of talking with me, presenting NO theories on what might be wrong or what I could try to do to help my wrists, he walked straight out of the room and into the next appt. They are seriously overbooking if he can only afford 30 seconds with a patient.

This doctor is the reason healthcare in America is so messed up.

Dr. Sachar was focused on only one thing: Demonstrating how superior he was, and what an idiot I was. He never even looked at my x-ray. Boulder Valley Hospital doesn't give access to uncertified doctors like him. His ego was gigantic.

I found this particular doctor to have a terrible bedside manner, and no tolerance for several questions or concerns about steroid injections in the joint space. He almost seemed greatly offended that I would even dare ask him anything After having the steroid injection, it has been severely painful from 45 minutes afterward on, and my hand is still very painful almost a full week later! They say that some (a handful) of people experience these problems with ongoing post pain, and that is why I had questions!!!
