I know it's odd to review hospitals, but my mother and I got in an awful car wreck. I was so incredibly shook up, but the staff in the emergency department was phenomenal. I felt like they genuinely cared about me and my health and their presence was so warm. Everyone was being so kind and nurturing. We're not from Colorado so we were so frazzled and lost but everyone was so attentive and sweet. Laurie held me and let me cry and I think I really needed that. That emergency department is full of angels. Genuinely, thank you.

Thank you all so much, who were working in the ER 4/28/2024. We were not prepared for a visit to an unknown ER (but then nobody is!) and we were so happy that A. SPRHC is easy to find; B. Closer than expected; C. One of the BEST ER experiences we have ever encountered.

There are not enough kind words that I can use to describe every professional staff member we met. From the kind registration woman (who spells “Laurie” correctly!!), to the first woman who showed us to a bed (i remember your face and friendliness!), to Jodie, Pam, Bree, Caleb, Dr. Greidanus and everyone else…thank you, thank you, thank you!

Your professionalism, sweetness, compassion, kindness and love of your deep seated desire to care and heal were on display 150%!! I apologize for my camping stench and dirt (and the bird Doc! I’m not a comedian [I won’t quit my day job!]).

Bless you and yours. Keep smiling!

June 30, 2024–Thank you all again!! What you did for me April 28, 2024, was exactly what I needed. My follow-up doctor didn’t need to do anything. Two months of healing and some exercising and I have full range of motion along with the bravery to go camping again!! Thank you! Thank you! Enjoy your summer!!

Excellent staff. Had an emergency visit and was treated exceptionally well. Pam, the doctor on duty was very informative, personable, and a comfort during stressful situation. The front desk attendant gal was also very nice and helpful. Thank you for your hard work and for treating each patient as a fellow human being. We are exceptionally blessed to have such an excellent hospital In Huerfano County!

Hello there. I stopped by the health center with a concern about some skin color issues and abrasions.
Nurse Kimberky was kind, patient, concerned and thorough.
Professional and represented your family clinic well!
Many thanks to her and her being employed there.

2.5 hour wait in the ER. I gave up. Understaffed ER. Glad I wasn't bleeding. Go to Pueblo or the Springs.

This is not the place to take your loved ones or yourself. My doctor recommended I go here to the emergency room as we have no urgent care, and I was treated as if I was not worth seeing. I was dismissed and left in more distress than when I arrived. The ER assistant because he isn't a doctor, made me feel like I was less than and didn't deserve treatment my doctor had sent me for. Sad ... Been like that for years now

Had a child in the ER for self harm and the child had a service dog. After about 3 hrs of being in a room they decided it would be a good idea to get the leash from the dog. What a joke. They leave the child in a room by there self. If you are a patient or parent good luck getting anybody's attention. We even called and the lady sitting down got up and walked away as soon as the phone started ringing.

Well, I finally got a good doctor elsewhere and the news is not good. Spanish Peaks has been gaslighting me to cover for their gross incompetence. Their suggestions of pain being in my head and refusal to address my complaints has left me an additional 8 months down the road of serious illness. I'll be tested for a host of neurological and immune system issues that have turned me from a relatively healthy person to a sickly cripple in a short period of time. Thanks, SPRHC. I'd name names, but I'll save it for when I sue that medicare fraud mill out of existence. If you are a veteran, do not let community care send you there. I fear for the veterans in the community living center.
