I have been coming to this dentist for 18 years now and I have never had any complaints. Dr. Oganyan and her staff are very professional and they go out of their way to help. The place is clean and smells nice. I follow the advice I get from the dr. And my teeth have been in nearly perfect condition. A few times I had to cancel my appointment and they were so nice and gave me the following day to come. Really nice and friendly ! I highly recommend this place.

I was made aware that someone used my name to post a malicious review because of a personal issue with Dr Oganyan. It's full of unsubstantiated lies because they wished to do harm to the dentistry. I have been going to Oganyan dds for over a decade and they are nothing but kind, courteous, and professional to me and all of their patients.

Dr. Oganyan is hands down the best dentist I’ve been to. I hadn’t seen a dentist since before the pandemic, so I was very anxious. After my first visit to her office, I left with such relief and joy. On my initial and all subsequent visits, she has been so patient in explaining the work I’ve needed done. And she has always been incredibly kind and gracious about making me feel comfortable, physically during the procedures, and also mentally and emotionally. When performing work, she continually checks in to make sure I am comfortable and not experiencing pain. On my first visit, she cleared up an infection I had, and she very clearly stressed how vital the care for the next day or two would be, without alarming me and by putting my mind at ease. I can’t stress how gentle, caring, and kind she is, in addition to the attention and incredible skill she provides in her work. I am beyond grateful.

Be warned review readers: it seems multiple friends/relatives of Dr. Oganyan leave unwarranted positive reviews. Your experience will be hit or miss. I personally was brow beaten into a procedure which multiple dentists thereafter have indicated was likely not needed. Find a better dentist, theres a ton in SoCal.

DO NOT TRUST THIS DENTIST. I don't write reviews, but I have never had a worse dental experience and you need to be warned. I have been to Alina Oganyan, D.D.S. three times. Here are the major issues I have had:

The Dental Work: The dental work sucked and was painful. One of her fillings started leaking a year later and now I need a crown on that tooth. When I went in for fillings, the fillings were poorly filed down so they were rough and my teeth didn't line up properly when I closed my mouth. She ran out of time to complete the work and so we scheduled to have the fillings smoothed down when when she worked on other fillings I "needed." When I came back, she was upset that I only wanted the original fillings smoothed out and she charged me like $20 even though it was her finishing her work - but I had called ahead and notified them a week before! (see scheduling). She did a poor job smoothing the work and I had to get the work smoothed down by a different dentist.

Upselling: When I went in for a cleaning and to have one filling redone, Alina told me that I needed 9 fillings (7 replaced, 2 new), I needed some kind of laser surgery on my gums, and I needed some kind of expensive thing for "teeth grinding". I'm not a dentist, but this seemed extensive especially since some of the fillings less than a year old. She pressured me to schedule three fillings at a time and upsold me on a painful deep cleaning. I have since been to a different dentist who said my gums are fine and I don't need all of my fillings replaced EXCEPT for one of the fillings she did (see dental work)

Scheduling: Once I came for three fillings, they got me in right away and numbed me, but then I waited for over 30 minutes. By the time Alina started working on my teeth, the numbing was wearing off. The final tooth was so painful I was squirming - she acted annoyed when she had to renumb me. Once, I arrived for my appointment and waited for over an hour in the lobby. While they worked with me as far as scheduling appointments is concerned, when they called to remind me of my appointments, the time was off.

I will be the first to admit that I don't have great teeth but I really didn't need my teeth to be made even worse by Alina Oganyan, D.D.S. As another one star reviewer has said, you need to be able to trust your dentist. Do not trust this one.

I went in for X-rays and an annual cleaning. The X-rays took 45 minutes to complete and it was awkward and painful and I’ve never experienced something like that. Then they told me they can’t clean my teeth, that i have fillings coming out, my teeth were so bad that I needed to come back for a deep cleaning which by the way isn’t covered with insurance and would be hundreds of dollars.

I called them back because I got a bill when everything should have been covered and asked them to reiterate what was wrong with me and they got defensive and rude. They ended up “covering the cost” even though nothing should have been charged as I have full coverage for X-rays, annual cleanings, and comprehensive exams.

I just went to my hometown dentist I grew up with and he let me know there’s nothing wrong with my fillings, no decay, nothing wrong with my gums, said I just needed a basic cleaning.

You should be able to trust your dentist. They are just trying to get money out of you. If you decide to go here, read other reviews. Im not the only person they’ve pulled this

My wife, myself and 2 children have been going to Dr Oganyan for the past 7 years. It has been an extremely less stressful experience considering the place 🙂 I have found procedures like root canals significantly less painful with Dr Oganyan compared to previous dentists. I find her highly competent and a good listener. She and her staff are very courteous and accommodating as well. Although we have lived further away from the office the past 5 years and there's temptation to find someone closer to home or work, the whole family prefers to go to her due to our great experience. My dental experience under the doc has ranged from cleaning, cavities, root canal and bone grafting for implants. So I know the drill literally and figuratively!
