My experience with Dr Wakefield has been excellent. In my opinion he is the best neurosurgeon in CT. He has performed two very successful cervical spine fusions in 2010 on me. I recently went for his opinion on getting a third one done. He explains everything and goes over the images with you in such detail that you leave feeling confident of the advice he's given you to make a sound decision. I highly recommend Dr Wakefield!

Yesterday I saw The PA for Dr. Wakefield office (Greg I believe). This man was amazing with the BEST chair side manner I've ever experienced. He's compassionate and caring. Highly recommend this practice. Sammy who works the front desk also is spectacular!!

Dr. Wakefield performed ACDF on me a few years ago. He was great, no problems. I was recently in a head on collision (other drivers fault) and was rushed to the ER with serious injuries, including my neck, spine and a broken collarbone. The ER doctor AND my physician who I've had for 30 years, both suggested I go see Dr. Wakefield (again) so I called this morning and spoke with the RUDEST, MOST ABRASIVE person, "A" who was immediately dismissive when she heard "motor vehicle accident". She immediately said and yes I'll quote," Dr. Wakefield doesn't work with motor vehicle accidents". She absolutely would not let me speak further and was abruptly dismissive. I'm not looking to sue anybody, all I wanted was to make sure my neck and prior fusion were intact and no further damage had occurred and that's all!! 2 doctors, who both know Dr. Wakefield suggested I go get a consult. Unbelievable treatment!!

Dr. Wakefield and everyone in the office are amazing to work with! I went in for a procedure that was NOT planned! The transition was as smooth as smooth could be during the current state of our medical system. I had the best bed side manner and was accommodated appropriately for the urgency of my situation. My recovery has been smooth and I'm able to do some things that I've never been able to do! My neck fusion has improved my quality of life substantially and I couldn't be happier.

Dr. Wakefield was thorough in his description and treatment of my issue. He proposed other non-surgical options that I took advantage of before surgery which I appreciated. I am now scheduled for surgery and look forward to a positive result.

I am adding to my original review. It has been 90 days since my surgery and I have zero pain in my legs. Dr. Wakefield performed a laminectomy. It is been absolutely life-changing for me. As Dr. Wakefield said to me you need to have the right timing the right patient and the right surgeon. I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Wakefield. I hope the best for you and whatever issues you're having.

Everyone in the office is so nice. I've been going there for years and I've never had to wait too long but the most important thing is that Dr. Wakefield is THE BEST neurosurgeon!! I wouldn't trust anyone else....I had back surgery a year ago and I knew I was in the perfect hands. Dr. Wakefield is also kind, confident but not one bit arrogant! He puts you at east the minute you meet him. He's the best of the best!!! Thank you for my successful back surgery!! I'm so thankful you are my doctor!!
