I NEVER write reviews, but had to today!!! I’ve had numerous spinal fusions. The last one being 7 months ago. I haven’t fused yet am in chronic pain and can’t take Advil or steroids for 1 1/2 years for fusion process. My neurosurgeon told me to ask my PCP for pain medicine that’s neither of those things because he knows I'm in pain and Tylenol isn't working. I didn’t make an appointment for a while trying to deal with the pain because I know most doctors won’t prescribe anything for people suffering from pain. They treat you differently and automatically assume you're drug seeking, an addict, or you'll become one if they write a prescription. I can't take the pain and suffering anymore so before I jumped off a bridge I called to schedule an appointment with my PCP. I’ve been going to ProHealth for many years. The receptionist told me my PCP had no available appointments for a long time, but she could get me in the next day with Dr. Banerjee. I said ok I guess I’ll take it.
Dr. Banerjee came in and asked some questions - I answered and explained everything to him about how my back and hip pain affects my ability to walk, sit, or stand and it’s affecting my quality of life. I told him I couldn't take anti-inflammatories or steroids to fuse, but need something to help with pain. He asked me if I was looking for opioids! I said I'm looking for pain relief that isn't either a steroid or anti-inflammatory like the surgeon said to do so I fuse while wearing my bone-stimulating device. He said if any other doctor saw me they'd treat me much worse than him. I asked him if he thought I was drug-seeking. He told me my appointment is over and to leave. He said he doesn't know me and even if he did for 15 years he wouldn't prescribe anything and he's not sure why they scheduled my appointment with him. I asked if my doctor was there - he said yes - I asked him if he could get him - he told me to leave and my appointment was over in less than 8 minutes. I was so upset I told him the bad reviews were right about him and he wasted my time and money.
Dr. Banerjee is unprofessional, rude, arrogant, lacks compassion, lacks empathy, and most importantly lacks the ability to help patients as a so called doctor. I've seen many doctors, specialists, and surgeons over the years, and still do presently. I've never met anyone in the healthcare system through all the years who walks, talks, acts, and treats people the way he did. Dr. Banerjee is the worst doctor I've ever met or come in contact with. No wonder he's not booked up.
