Smile Doctors transplanted me to Awbrey Orthodontics after I left Michigan. I could not have been placed in better hands. They picked up my treatment plan and navigated me through surgery. It is all over and my smile is beautiful. The staff is great. You can tell that they love working for Dr. Awbrey. It’s clean, comfortable, and has amenities that you don’t get to enjoy because they move so fast! I’m glad it is over, but highly recommend this practice.

When he started treatment, he had a deep underbite that needed correction to ensure his incoming upper adult teeth wouldn’t be affected. Thanks to Dr. Awbrey and his fantastic team, his bite was corrected, and they straightened his upper teeth in just 13 months!

What middle schooler gets braces and thinks they look great Well.. mine! This environment is so nurturing, so non-intimidating she literally walks out the door feeling confident and so happy. ? All was pain free. The environment is sophisticated but warm, coupled with Dr. Awbrey who has immense clinical experience and knowledge. As a physician, I am so picky who my kiddos see. A dear dentist friend says Awbrey is the best.. and we agree! We love the entire experience...his staff is amazing.. just top notch!

Due to a move, Dr. Awbry took over my child’s treatment from another provider. The original time frame was 24+ months. Dr. Awbry was able to complete the work in a quality way while shaving more than 6 months off the timeline. His staff is courteous, kind and professional and all are capable of answering questions. My child never complained about the assistants. You never wait more than minutes. I found his pricing to be fair. And never once did I have trouble with billing, they know their stuff and get work done!

I wasn’t going to leave a review, but it’s nice to know I’m not alone in my experience at Awbrey’s Orthodontics. The only positive comment I have is about the guy that does the x-rays (don’t remember his name) he is very nice, considerate, and has a positive attitude. The woman at the front desk is also very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Awbrey on the other hand lacks professionalism and communication. While waiting for close to twenty minutes (even the assistant had to keep telling me he’d be over soon) on him to perform what I now know was IPR on my front teeth (since he never said anything to me or told me what he was doing) he was talking to another patient, about being anti-vaccine. Although I don’t care either way, and believe that’s his prerogative, I just thought it was unprofessional to talk to and around patients about such a controversial topic. When he finally did see me, he didn’t say anything to me which was such a striking difference between his conversation just a few seconds ago with the other patient. He never said “Hello” “How’s the teeth moving?” He didn’t even tell me what he was doing, just did it and left.

I used Invisalign and felt mislead about the app and the entire experience. The app is generic and gives an AI-generated response to your progress, and the few times I did come in the office, Dr. Awbrey never checked my teeth in person or my progress. Seems like they just depend on whatever the app says and goes from there. I plan on going to another orthodontist, since I believe that my teeth still need to be treated. Although I wasted money, I was relieved to finish so that I can find another orthodontist.

I love the app and the Invisalign concept. My daughter’s smile is much improved and her teeth at 99% of the way towards perfect. Which is perfectly fine with us.

However, Dr. Awbrey’s bedside manner needs much improvement, especially when working with a 11-year-old. We took a risk with our 9-year-old going into a 2-year venture with Invisalign as opposed to braces. But we felt she could do it.

She has a great smile, but does not need to be talked down to by Dr. Awbrey or any associates for not wearing her Invisalign for exactly 22 hours per day. She’s a responsible child who did her best. The scan results kept showing us positive movement and she kept advancing in the Invisaligns.

I love that the aligners and the app allowed us to do this work over the last 2 years to correct her teeth and her smile.

I feel Dr. Awbrey just needs to brush up on how to treat the patrons (especially children).

Front desk and in-take and finance folks are awesome.

Overall, a 3-star review. Would have been 5-star with nice bedside manner.
