This place is absolutely top notch. The scheduling is efficient, and the physical therapists are without parallel. Caring, professional, attentive, patient, they have it all. I've been working with Alex Goldenring on several issues for almost a year now and have gotten back to a state of wellness that is amazing. Their genuine concern is so touching, and their skills are next level. I'm so grateful to have found them and will use them for all of my physical therapy needs from now on.

My experience at Balance Health couldn't be better. I came here after rotator cuff surgery and met Alex Goldenring, Doctor of Physical Therapy. I've had PT in the past and never really thought it was worth the time. The treatments always felt superficial and lacked any clear direction. But my experience with Alex has been the complete opposite. He has a plan for the rehab of my shoulder and uses the time during our sessions efficiently. He explains his methods and listens carefully to any feedback I might give him. He has an uncanny ability to use massage and manipulation in just the right way, pushing to the limit but never going too far. Alex has a wonderfully positive attitude about him and it definitely affects the therapy. I'm so happy with the progress I have made so far in my recovery and look forward to continuing the work with Alex.

I experienced back pain for the past 3.5 years, and have seen countless physicians and PTs about my issue. Even after X-rays, a CT scan, MRI, I was an unsolvable unicorn case, where the last PT gave a shotgun approach, committing me to an hour a day of various exercises with no improvement.
I desperately came to Balance Health upon recommendation from a friend, even though the commute was a bit far from my place in Ventura. Boy, was it worth it. I met with Alex, and described my journey of back pain. To my relief, he has experience in solving my type of issue.
He identified where the pain was, and we tried some easy and quick exercises. We eventually found some that worked! As long as I keep up my easy exercise regimen as a preventative measure, for the first time in many years I can work pain free and be the productive person I wanted to be. Alex is committed to continuing my life improvement, which would eventually reduce the number of times I would need to exercise. Thank you Alex, I am so ever grateful!!!

My experience at Ojai Balance Health Center was the best. I worked with Alex after a knee injury and Kathy for my shoulder. Both therapists were top notch. They worked with me one on one and did not pass me on to an assistant. I was also given follow up home programs with pictures so I could easily remember the exercises. I highly recommend Ojai Balance. Also, I live in Ventura and was more than happy to drive in to obtain the best physical therapy around.

I am very grateful and happy with how Alex at Balance helped me, rehabbing a shoulder with a sports-related injury. I had tried a number of other modalities to help the shoulder, but none had fixed the issue. So I had a hard time believing Alex when, after the initial assessment, he predicted roughly 6 weeks of treatment would be enough to get the shoulder back to where it should be. However, he turned out to be correct. And I was able to continue with my sports throughout the treatment period.

I was referred to Balance by a friend of mine last January. I fell off of a ladder last December and shattered the Radial Head of my left elbow , and tore the Labrum in my left shoulder . After having the Radial Head replaced with a titanium one I was prescribed PT . When I walked into Balance three months ago I was in excruciating pain and both my elbow and shoulder were almost completely frozen . Kathy Doubleday was the first therapist I worked with and she was wonderful. After just 6 visits my elbow range had returned to about 99% and the pain is down to around a 2.

Once I was prescribed therapy for my shoulder , I started working with another Therapist at balance named Alex Goldenring, also wonderful . The shoulder was limited to about 15 degrees of motion and quite painful as well .I’m a builder , and without the use of my shoulder I can’t make a living . Alex was very sympathetic to my predicament and almost intuitively, new the perfect exercises to help me get much of the motion back in my shoulder . I’m still workin with Alex now and I am seeing exponential improvement in my shoulder with each visit .

I highly recommend Balance, and will be forever grateful for their help .The facility is clean and well outfitted and professionally operated . They even text you appointment reminders, which is a huge bonus for me.

I went to Balance Health Center for rehab after a knee replacement surgery. I ran into some complications I didn’t anticipate. Kathy Doubleday listened to my problems, was patient and knowledgeable. She helped get me through some rough patches in the rehab. I would highly recommend her.
