After experiencing a car accident about 6 months ago, I underwent various treatments including chiropractic care, decompression therapy, physical therapy, steroid injections, acupuncture, and massage for my shoulder injury. Unfortunately, none of these treatments provided long-term relief. Upon the recommendation of my lawyer, I visited this clinic for the first time. Despite extensive paperwork, the process was smooth. Following a consultation, the doctor recommended Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection for my shoulder tendinitis, which is anticipated to have a longer-lasting positive effect. I am hopeful that this will be the final solution for my arm issues.

Absolutely pleased with the results of two surgeries from Dr Barbour. This lawrenceville office has always been a pleasure. The ladies up in front office are always smiling and very pleasant to deal with, the nurses have always been kind and considerate at both the lawrenceville and Atlanta offices. My hip surgery went great at the beginning of the year and just last month had a knee replacement. The offices seem to operate like a well oil machine and it’s been a great experience for my first and second surgery ever. If I ever need an orthopedic I would choose these professionals of the industry. Dr Barbour is a great man and takes very good care of his patients. I’m very pleased with my experiences! I can't speak for the entire scope of possible therapies they offer, , but I had rotator cuff repair and my results have been nothing less than spectacular. I'm 10 weeks out from surgery and doing far better than I expected. Very attentive and available post op (even on weekends).

If you need an ortho, I highly recommend this team of specialist.

They are ok, but no communication within their office. I was told to bring back a machine they gave me, I took off from work to go and when I get there they said since it’s already opened they can’t do anything, I just wonder how on earth would I had known it didn’t work if I hadn’t opened the box? How’s that make any sense? But I am sure they will happily charge for it.

The good. The front office staff were always friendly and welcoming. The very good, the residents nursing staff were amazing. Best history I've ever gone through.

The bad. I had MRI denied by my insurance. My insurance called the office to gather further information (they had the dates/times and persons they called), but no one ever called them back. Also, when I next came to the office, I informed the resident that the MRI's had been denied (shouldn't that information made it's way into my chart?). Also, I was told that since I didn't have MRI's at that time, Dr. Barbour would not see me for this visit. Well, I did make the appointment to see him, and I did pay the co-pay, but OK?

The reason I left. I was also under the care of another MD here. They were able to get MRI's and X-rays for this issue. They also prescribed me medication, which was denied by my insurance. when I called to see why, my insurance informed me that the prescription had not been inputted correctly (I call the office and inform them of this and it's corrected). It's denied again, and this time I'm informed that they had not been given information as to why I was being prescribed this medication. I tried to call the office again to fix this, but can't get anyone. I see the surgeon, and am told I would benefit from surgery. Honestly, I wasn't impressed with the doctor. I found him too flippant and not terribly interested in me. He came in with 3 other people, but doesn't introduce them or allow them to introduce themselves. Not a fan of that. Still, I agree to the surgery, but something doesn't feel right and I go for a second opinion at another agency. The 2nd opinion states that the surgery recommended to me would not solve my issues, and would in fact create new ones (actually, that is also what I came to learn when I did my own research). In fact, this doctor didn't feel I needed surgery at this time and recommended an injection. I decided to move my care to this doctor and to this office. All MRI's I needed were approved. Medications were approved. Injection completed with good results.

Possibly, this is a good office and my experience unusual. The reviews I read were mainly positive, which is why I decided to go here. So disappointing.

I've been to three of their location. Everyone is professional and helpful. The wait time has never been long. I haven't had much success with the procedures I've had done yet (minimal to no relief) , but I will not give up yet. I have been seen by doctors and PAs.

I do have an issue with the facilities using commercial air fresheners and plug ins which I'm allergic to. I'm surprised that a medical facility uses these products at all. They are plugged in all over the place (at every location I have been to), so you can't avoid the smells. I wait outside until it is time for my appointment, hoping not to have a headache or respiratory issues by the time I leave. I've said something about it to the staff, but it does not seem to make a difference. If I wasn't desperate for relief, I would probably go elsewhere simply because of the air-fresheners. It is just that bad for me.
