I had my yearly physical November 2023. Also my flu shot. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield for insurance. My insurance pays 100% of both. I received a bill for $394 +. After months and 6 phones to several places Dr. Anderson called me. He told me because of my age he didn't realize it was for a yearly physical. I was 67 at the time. The code he used was an appointment for hypertension. I have high blood pressure. Have for years. He put the blame for the incorrect reason on me. He refused to correct the reason for the appointment and told me if I needed to come in for a nosebleed or any reason say it's for a physical and it will be free. My insurance rep is appalled by this but cannot make changes without the correct filing. Stay away from this clinic. This also happened in 2022 He did correct it that time.

Dr Anderson should not be dealing with the public. He gets agitated very easily.

I had to order my own lab work and was handed a sheet with a bunch of medical jargon on it, and was told to select what I needed done. Not knowing what to get, I asked the lab what covers everything, then I selected that one. I met with Josh and he read over the lab report and looked at me with a sarcastic look and said "so you're just going to leave part of the test off huh?" I could see him rolling his eyes and shaking his head while he said ok then. Maybe he didn't realize that I was not told what to get? Bottom line, he was very rude. The story does not end there. I asked for a drug to help me stay awake for a new job I would be getting and he said I would need a sleep apnea test before I could be considered for it. What I said next set him off. I said isn't that test for fat people, and he angrily said with a raised voice, you're fat! I don't mind being called fat, but he was annoyed that I questioned him. This next part is the kicker. I told him I wanted the new drug to help me stay awake for a new job I might get. It was near the end of the visit and he asked where I might get a job. I told him and he looked back down at a folder without saying anything. He then picked up the folder and walked right past me and stared straight ahead. Didn't look at me at all and said it was nice to meet you, have a nice day. His face looked expressionless like he was disgusted with me. I can't be the only person he's done this to. Probably his coworkers as well. I also seen the sleep test results downloaded onto a computer and they are different than what he said they were. If any management sees this, you'll know who I am. Please double check his work.

I only had one appointment to establish care and bring up some concerns I had. I brought up three things, and the doctor, Dr. Peterson, only touched on one. Never really felt like he cared at all. Especially since one of the things i wanted to bring to his attention was a history of skin cancer and I was worried about a couple spots. Also called to see if they could get me on a different med for my asthma since it was so expensive, and the nurse told me to talk to my pharmacist, even though the pharmacists CANT PRESCRIBE DRUGS. Dr didnt even give me something else to try. Useless and waste of time. They also billed my insurance almost 400 dollars for nothing! Dr didnt even discuss my issues with me! My new dr is so much more helpful and she only billed my insurance $200, and we did more there than we did with this clinic! Needless to say, I won’t be going back.

I don't know why I'm surprised, but I always am with this clinics absolute disdain for their customers. And yes, I said customers not patients, for we are their customers we pay them and it would be good for them to remember that...but they don't. My appt. was for 9:15 for a simple 2nd pneumonia shot. Got there at 9:05...finally at 9:25 I asked the receptionist how much longer it was going to be and it seemed that waiting this long was too long and she agreed. So she called back to the nurse again (this was just a shot, no doctor required)...another 5 minutes go by and she finally shows up. I was angry and let her know it, the bad care I have received at this clinic could fill a novel. She explained, first that the receptionist had not called her, but she had because I saw her do it...OK, lie #1 doesn't work, let's try lie #2..."I have other patients, you know". Really? Because I had been sitting there for half an hour and saw one lady go back to the lab, a mother and child come out of another doctors room on the other side of the clinic and an old woman with a walker who finally just sort of wandered off. That was it. The parking lot is empty and in the middle of flu season is not a very good sign, especially when Boone Medical Practice North's parking lot was packed. At this point you are probably wondering why I don't just go find another doctor, but in Boone which medically seems to be like a 3rd world nation, that is not as easy as it sounds. I write this in hopes that they will see it and suddenly hear the giant explosion of their heads coming out of their butts. And darn it, now my arm hurts! Probably not good to get in an argument with someone giving you a shot (lol).

I am very happy at this clinic with Dr. Devi Dunker being my primary physician. I have been seeing their health coach. Her name is Jenni and I have been very successful with her suggestions for my overall health through eating better! I began my journey June of 2019 and have lost 24 pounds! I am no longer pre-diabetic and my blood sugar is down to 95. My blood pressure is down and I removed one diuretic medication. ( am 68 years old and growing younger. Did I mention that seeing Jenni is free! If serious about your health and how to improve it, make an appointment to see her.

Dr. Eric Peterson is professional and personable. He asks a lot of questions and listens to your answers. I was always treated with respect by both Dr. Peterson and the nurses. Whenever I called with a question or concern, the staff was very helpful. I trust Dr. Peterson's medical acumen and would recommend him and the staff of the Boone County Family Medicine South office.

The first doctor I had left me sitting in examination rooms for upwards of nearly 2 hours while she flitted around. The second doctor was ok, but lacked basic empathy and seemed to be smirking the whole time I was there.
The next doctor dug through my medical records and pulled out a comment from a prior physician from SIXTEEN YEARS AGO, and plastered right on the front of my medical record that I have a disease I have never had, never been treated for. Attempts to get her to remove the diagnoses were unsuccessful.
The next doctor was ok. I needed to schedule another appointment to see her. Did that, and at home I mistakenly wrote on my calendar the wrong day for the appointment. I ended up missing the appointment and didn't even realize it, due to my mistake. As a result of this, I received a nasty letter from the clinic raging at me for missing the appointment, and how 3 chances and I am out. They ranted about how I failed to show up and how I FAILED to notify them ahead of time that I would not be there.
They then said they were putting a letter in my medical records about how I FAILED to arrive for an appointment and how this was not going to be tolerated.
Really? I inadvertantly, through no ill intent, missed an appointment and now there is a letter in my medical records, signed personally by my doctor?
Then I am advised they would like to keep me as a patient.
I don't think so.
I considered calling to explain what happened, but at this point I simply intend to find another doctor. One who doesn't take personally a missed appointment, has a big emorage, and puts a letter in my medical record.

I have been seeing Dr. Dunker, and I really like her. I feel that she answers questions and is not in a hurry. Perhaps I get there at a time when she is not busy, but I have never felt rushed by her. I would highly recommend, and I have, to others.
