Worst Dr ever. Even tho it’s been 18 years since this wretched being ruined my life by not showing up for a surgical emergency until 10 am after diagnosis in ER @ 1am. I am permanently disabled by his negligence. I had cauda equina which in every single medical book is a surgical emergency. The longer surgery is delayed, the worse the level of disability. I was 100% paralyzed from the waist down, no legs, no bladder, no bowel. There are two people in my long life that I hate. Abitbol is 1 of them.

I think finding a really good doctor is important, but finding a really really good surgeon, is even better and Dr Abitbol really is talented. He is straight forward, but he does his job and he does it gracefully. His assistant is also extremely knowledgeable and all my questions and concerns were addressed. I never found it difficult to reach his staff. I would highly recommend to friends and family. Great Doctor!

Please beware of this medical provider get a second consultation from someone else or go with someone else please beware of this medical provider. I had two surgeries done and they were going to do a third surgery for what should have been fixed the first time. Good thing, the receptionist printed me all of my medical records before I pulled out to make sure nothing was tampered with.

I came for an appointment today for an epidural. I evidently had been referred out to another doctor to do this. No one told me of this and they expected me today as if i had already had this epidural. No one contacted this referred medical group until after i had waited 5 weeks for insurance approval.
I do not see how they did not ever inform me the process nor contact them until after approval.
They tell me I have an appointment tomorrow with this Dr Thompson for pain management. Great, not in my healthcare system, the appointment nor location.
So, what did they expect the appointment i showed up for today was about?
regardless, the snafu was their mistake and they kept passing the buck for a referral they made and essential made excuses for why they were not prepared to treat me.
I have been in pain for the last 6 weeks, without medication and drinking daily to alleviate the pain i am in and again today i have no relief and not answers.
I feel I would have done better to find a witch doctor.

Dr. Abitbol preformed cervical spine surgery on me after a failed surgery by another doctor at a University. He is a great doctor! I was in unbelievable pain and the surgery was very complicated because it was a second surgery. I never thought I'd feel alright again and get off the pain meds, but now I have my old life back.
. He really cares and may not seem like he has a great bedside manner right away, you have to get to know him. Then you'll realize that he is in it to help you.

After my terrible experience with the first surgery, I really checked around to find the best surgeon for my needs. I even went to L.A. to get opinions and decided to have surgery here. Great decision!
