If you are ever so unfortunate to have to deal with toenail fungus, give Castle Rock Foot and Ankle Care's laser treatment a try. It worked great for me. It's painless, easy, and has no side effects.

It takes toenails forever to grow out, so be patient. My nail has looked gross for almost a year, but the nail and skin beneath is looking healthier and healthier as it grows out.

I got a horrible rash from some OTC product I bought on Amazon, that ended up landing me at urgent care. I wish I had just spent the money to try the laser treatment first. It would have been cheaper than trying to self-treat.

The first two photos are from Jan/Feb when I first noticed my nail after taking off some old nail polish. Third photo is from April, when I got the bad rash that kept getting worse. And the 4th photo is where I'm at now, in November.

Disappointing Experience with Poor Communication and Unhelpful Staff

I had a deeply frustrating experience with this office. After taking the time to book an appointment online, selecting an available time, and ensuring my primary care provider sent over a referral, I was dismayed by how everything fell apart upon arrival.

Firstly, the booking process required my insurance information, yet it excluded one of the largest providers in Colorado—something that should have been flagged immediately. After waiting two weeks for this appointment, I arrived only to be told I didn’t have one. The front office staff member was unprofessional and seemed to take pleasure in pointing this out. When I mentioned not receiving any communication about changes to my appointment, she dismissively asked if I’d checked for a text message—one I later found in my spam folder.

To make matters worse, the environment was chaotic. The music in the waiting area was so loud it felt more like a Disney concert than a medical office, which only added to the stress of the situation. If the same effort put into blasting the music was spent on following up with patients to confirm appointments, I wouldn’t have wasted half a day of work for nothing.

This experience has left me with no desire to return, and I would advise others to be cautious when dealing with this office. Clearer communication and more professional staff are badly needed here.

She shared her knowledge and did so plainly and simply which helped me to make informed decisions about my preferred course of treatment. She was also warm, kind, and genuine. Everyone in the office is very friendly, caring and professional. They take all types of insurance. Located in the Alexander building, part of Castle Rock Hospital. They were able to perform a minor toenail removal on site during my visit and book my follow up in 2 weeks. Dr Herzog & Dr Smith will take good care of you.
