Unpleasant Experience with Center for Women's Health and Aesthetics
Dear Kendy Verpile & Management Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had at your medical facility. I visited Center for Women's Health and Aesthetics for my annual OBGYN checkup and requested to have lab work conducted as part of this routine examination.
During my visit, my physician informed me that I would receive a phone call to schedule a follow-up appointment to discuss the results once they were available. However, after waiting for three weeks without any communication from your office, I took it upon myself to schedule an appointment online.
To my surprise, shortly after I scheduled the appointment, I received a call from your office to verify my appointment details. It was disconcerting that the office had no record of my previous request, despite the fact that I had provided a reason for my visit when booking the appointment online.
Upon arriving at my scheduled appointment, I was informed that I would be required to pay an $80 copay. This came as a shock to me, as I had never been asked to pay a copay for such visits in the past. I requested a breakdown of the charges, but the staff member attending to me was unable to provide one, stating that only the billing department in California had access to such information.
I then requested that they contact the billing department, but I was informed that this was not possible. When I asked for a printout of the billing details displayed on the screen, I was told that there was only a comment stating that I owed $80. The staff member did offer to contact my insurance company to verify coverage, but this would require rescheduling my appointment, causing further inconvenience.
It was disappointing that I could not receive any clarity on the charges I was being asked to pay, especially since I was only seeking to discuss the results of tests conducted during my annual appointment, which I believed to be covered by my insurance. I have never encountered a medical facility that could not provide a transparent breakdown of costs.
Subsequently, I discovered that I could access my test results for free through the MyChart website, which left me feeling frustrated and disappointed with the experience I had at Kendy Verpile’s office.
I wanted to bring this matter to your attention in the hope that it can be addressed to improve the overall patient experience at your facility. Clear communication, transparency in billing, and a smoother appointment process are essential aspects of a patient's journey and contribute to their trust in a medical provider.

By far the best medical facility I have ever gone to for making you feel very welcome and at ease. The office staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. Very accommodating as well. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Verpile during my visit. She took her time didn't rush which is something that I take seriously with doctors. Many I have been too seem to rush you out the door. Not Dr. Verpile, she was wonderful. Look forward to my deals when needed in the future.

This was my first visit to Dr. Verpile and it was a great experience. She was very professional and friendly. She listened to my concerns about my issues and put me at ease when talking to her. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. All of these things made my first appointment a great one!

I met Dr. Verpile for the first time today and she and her staff were a breath of fresh air. The wait was a tab bit longer than expected, however, it was all worth it. From entering the facility to my actual meeting with Dr. Verpile was welcoming. Dr. Verpile took the time to talk with me and listen to my concerns. She displayed very good bedside manners. I highly recommend her.

I am very upset with Dr. Verpile’s office. I was a patient in her office in July of 2021. I was told as a new patient despite having insurance I would need to pay in full. I was happy to have quickly gotten an appointment so I gladly paid in full. My insurance company promptly paid for the visit but paid the office directly. I inquired about my credit but didn’t receive a response. Every couple of months I would follow up about my credit and yet again never received a reply. When my next yearly visit and prescription refill came due it was next to impossible to get any response to multiple phone messages, emails and visits to the office itself located in Tyrone. I was finally able to reach a receptionist after many attempts. I am now being told that MAYBE Dr. Verpile will be back in the office October 7th. I asked could I please get a number for their billing department since I wasn’t getting anywhere at this point with getting my refund and I would no longer be returning as a patient. I was then told her billing person wasn’t available due to the war in Ukraine. I want to forewarn others never use this practice where your money isn’t stolen like mine was!

Dr.Verpile has proven to be a great provider by educating me on treatments for my peri menopausal symptoms such as BioTe and IV vitamins. As a result, I do feel improvement from my symptoms and more energy then before. Dr. Verpile had also been administering Botox to my fine lines with excellent results. As a provider, Dr.Verpile definitely has her patients best interest when providing appropriate medical care.

One word: SHADY!!! Requiring a $275 payment directly to the practice as a fully insured patient for an initial visit as a new patient is unheard of!!! After reading through other reviews, I found that other patients have been “ripped off” by this practice as well. My gut is also telling me that all the 5 star reviews are most likely FAKE & were submitted by friends, family, and acquaintances of the doctor & staff at the practice. If this practice is 5 star worthy, why are there so few reviews to begin with?!?! This is extremely discouraging for me as a patient with legitimate health issues that need to be addressed & treated as soon as possible. We put our lives in the hands of these doctors trusting first & foremost that our healthcare is their number one priority. It is beyond obvious to me that is NOT true for this practice & they are just a greedy plastic surgery practice exploiting women for the sole purpose of monetary gain. Now, I’m even questioning the NP that recommended them to me. This is completely infuriating! I would give ZERO stars if I could. Do NOT be duped! My advice: Find care elsewhere as I have chosen to do.

Dr. Verpile started out good. My appointments were thorough and consistent. However, I started to notice that they were charging my insurance for services not rendered, so I started to monitor my bill more closely.

What prompted me to change providers, was the vanishing act the doctor and her assistant made when an health problem was discovered. I was ordered to do several imaging test. After, receiving a call on the weekend from the doctor to urgently schedule blood work and more tests, I was not able to get back in touch with her for the results. I called and emailed for 2 months, but the doctor never returned my calls. I had to reach out to my PCP for assistance.

The end result was I never heard back from Dr. Verpile or her staff. I have surgery scheduled for the same problem she neglected to administer care for.
