My surgeon Dr. Lindsey Klingbeil, MD is the really great! I recommend her anyone! I had no doubts about her at all from the start that she would be anything less than excellent! If I or my family and friends ever needs a surgeon she is who we will be going to. Thank you so much again for all your help! You are absolutely amazing ❤️

Dr. Giovannetti decided, without looking at the image results from my CT scan, that I did not need surgery for my hernia and instead needed to lose weight. He calculated my BMI in front of me (including telling me my current weight, a number I intentionally avoid knowing for mental health reasons), listed all the terrible things that will happen to me because I'm overweight, and proceeded to explain the side effects of a medication I'm on to me after I told him I'm on that medication (and therefore know perfectly well what its effects are). I felt disrespected and condescended to. Also, I did not receive the care I went there to get because of my size. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone.

I had my surgery with Dr. John Mitko him and his team Franchesca, Christina, Yolanda they are the awesome. Every question that I had was answered every time I reached out to someone I got a response . They have a monthly support group which is great. I recommend this place for your procedure. They took great care of me.

I was referred to them by my GI doctor with compliments about Dr. Lufti. I had a phone check in with his associate Dr. Bujanda on October 31, 2023. He told me I would receive a call from "the team" to discuss studies regarding a painful hernia. I received no call so, I called November 7th. I was asked by reception, "Who is supposed to call you?" I said I didn't know and told her what was said to me. She said she would speak to who would know, put me on hold, came back to the phone saying they would call me back when the person who would know was off their phone call. I was not called back. I called Nov 8th and again was asked "Who was supposed to call you?" I reiterated the information, put on hold and someone named Priscilla came on the phone saying she would email me the information. I've received nothing. I understand people get busy but I shouldn't have to call a third time and be asked the same question getting nowhere.

Update: Thank you for replying. However, the response is dismissive of the issue I stated. I didn't receive a response in attempt to rectify the situation, and I still haven't received a call or email. Instead, the response received is to tell me my issue will help staff do better for the next patient. How does that help me? Other responses for previous complaints stated your manager will rectify the situation. I recieve a response saying my complaint will help staff benefit the next patient. This is beyond unprofessional and disappointing.

I had my surgery last Monday 04/04/2022 and I can say that I am so so happy about everything. I am super thankful for the Dr. Lutfi, Melissa , Annie ,Emma, Dr. Mitko, the nurses and the Doctors at the Advocate Masonic Hospital, all of the Chicago Advance surgery team. They ghost their patients, very poor communication. Would not recommend.

I Called the office to get clarification of insurance to make sure they accept insurance that my boyfriend had since his insurance change and he had previous started the Baratric program months ago the reception Sean was ruled he could have handled the call a better way instead of rushing through the call and hanging up super fast at least ask if there’s anything else or give the caller a chance to ask a question if needed, not just a long byeeeeee then click.
