I had a lot of pain at the back of my heel, and imaging showed that I had a partially torn Achilles and a bone spur behind the tendon. I went to an orthopedic surgeon (not at this practice) who told me I needed to learn how to deal with the pain because nothing could be done. I went to Dr. Blue for a second opinion and I'm glad that I did! Dr. Blue took the time to actually listen to me. I never felt rushed during my appointments with him. Unfortunately I needed surgery to fix the problems, but now, three months later, I'm feeling so much better! His office staff is also great and very friendly. Altogether a wonderful experience and I highly recommend Dr. Blue.

UPDATE: I was contacted within a few hours of posting my review. The office agreed to refund $40 that the office collected as part of the non-reimbursed charge to insurance. It was explained to me that the office collected $100 from me as a co-pay for a "medical device." The person I talked to said they acknowledge how this might feel unfair and this has caused the office to discuss how they handle these matters. I do appreciate that.

I know they treat a lot of this and I think most patients rely on them to help navigate the insurance. My insurance, Cigna, is pretty common and this has to be the 100th medical device charge this year. I think if the office explains that the insurance treats this as a "medical device" and that it can cost considerably more, then 99% of people would opt for the cash pay price of $45. No brainer.

I will reiterate, no issues with my treatment from Dr. Blue.

You charged my insurance $600 for a plantar faciitus boot that I could buy in office for $45 (or $31-40 on Amazon). When my insurance only reimbursed you for part of the $600, you wanted an additional $140 - 3X the value.

So, while I don't have complaints on my treatment, I am unsure why you want your customers to feel cheated.

I asked the billing person to discuss this with doctor. This flies in face of common sense. No follow up from your office so I took off another star.

Disappointing communication- I had a recent foot fracture and my visit to Dr. Muchowski was several days after injury. He noted at the visit that I could send in any paperwork for my work leave to the office and he would complete it. When I did so, I was told by the MA that they did not complete paperwork between visits and that I would have to wait for my next appointment a week later. FAMLI and my STD was requesting forms and I called back to request it again. I was met with quite a bit of resistance and she noted she would call me back after speaking with the Dr., which she didn’t. I inquired about any sort of policy regarding completion of forms to which I was directed to the business office. I left a vm and my call was never returned. My paperwork for leave was completed wrong- despite my date/type request in the email at 5:00 pm on a Friday. My temporary accessible parking forms were never completed. As a healthcare practitioner myself, this came as unexpected and was a very clear display of poor customer service.

I was thrilled that I was able to get into see Dr. Blue so quickly He was able to diagnose my condition immediately and explained what I needed to do to resolve my foot condition as well as how long it would take to be resolved. I was also able to discuss with Dr. Blue another issue that I have had with my foot as a result of a spinal issue. He was able to tell me what could be done if the condition got worse. I started my treatment right away will have a follow-up as recommended.

I had a really bad ingrown toenail. It was the week of Thanksgiving and when I called, understandably there were no appointments available but Jazzy got me scheduled for the very next appointment available the following Tuesday. Dr. Muchowksi was fantastic! He got my toe sorted out quickly and with the utmost skill and care. He gave clear post-procedure care instructions and the toe looks and feels great. I can't speak highly enough of the professionalism and kindness of all of the staff here! Hopefully I won't have to see you all too soon (hehe) but if I have any issues, you all have a patient for life!
