I was referred to Dr. Peck's practice by my primary care doctor. On my initial visit, I was told by the front office that my insurance was acceptable and that they would be able to bill them directly.

During the initial visit, I was asked numerous times if I was interested in getting diabetic shoes. My response was that I was only interested if it would be covered by my primary and.or secondary insurance. I was assured that the shoes would not be ordered unless the expense was approved by insurance.

On the day that I picked up the shoes, I asked if the expense of the shoes had been approved by my insurance. I was told that it had been authorized by my insurance.

Imagine my surprise when two months later, I began to receive bills for the office visits and the shoes. Of course I began to dispute the charges with them, but with little success. They stopped billing for the office visits (they never explained why). They apparently changed my account to be a self-pay because they really DID NOT take my insurance after all.

They have, however, continued to bill for the shoes more than two years later. Interestingly, shoes that I later received from other providers were billed at one-third of the cost.

I have no complaints about the medical side of their work. However, when front office and back office do not provide appropriate (and ethical?) support to a doctor, it sours the entire experience.

There are podiatrists in Colorado Springs with openings for new patients that are much easier to work with than this clinic.

My recommendation is to drop your 10-foot pole and run in a different direction for foot care. Life is too short for this type of mediocrity.

I have been with doctor Lee Fleming for over seven years. I would not go to any other foot doctor besides him. The nurses are awesome to talk to. If you have a question, they get right back to you. The office staff are the best. If you need to see a foot doctor this is definitely the place.

Doctor wasn’t personable or friendly at all. Seemed cold & annoyed. Didn’t ask me a single question about my day to possibly distract me from the shots. He was quiet pretty much the entire time. I was close to passing out getting ingrown toe nails removed & instead of staying, he just told me to sit there until I was better & left the room. He did the procedure extremely fast probably trying to finish before I passed out instead of taking his time & making sure I was okay. I probably unknowingly felt a lot more anxiety than normal being around people that could care less. I’m worried my toe nails are uneven with him rushing through things. The office staff also didn’t greet me & were chatting with each other until she turned around & said “name?”. I’ve worked with medical professionals & these people do not care about anything but a paycheck. At least take the time to take care of the patient when you’re going to be there all day anyways. Go anywhere else.

Dr. Peck is AMAZING! I have seen him at both locations (Union and Kelly Johnson) He worked with me countless times to get my old job to take my foot injury seriously and keep me working to make money, even helped encouraged me in getting a new job (which I love) because my old one was a major factor towards my injury.

Everyone at the front desk and assistants are great to speak with, very friendly and nice as well. Alex is so sweet, informative and patient, she is super on top of helping ALL clients that I have noticed.

I always feel treated professionally and listened to about my thoughts and feelings towards my foot issues everytime I have went to one of my MANY appointments. I strongly recommend them to anyone having to deal with medical issues in their wheelhouse, after all, we all need our mobility for quality of life and should take it seriously and you would want your doctor to as well. They do! They care, and show great attention to detail. Thank to to everyone at Colorado Springs Foot and Ankle! I appreciate you all greatly!

I have had nothing but issues with trying to make an appointment , leaving messages , never getting a call back . I had an appointment cancelled on me as I was in the parking lot for that appointment telling me to go to the office up North to pick up my foot brace. I asked what do I do then ? My time is valuable and it's unfortunate this office is upside down. On a good note Dr. Peck is amazing, he's patient and kind, I give him a 5 star

Dr Fleming is all around great. Was super nervous about cortisone shots but he makes it painless and quick anytime I go in. Bedside manner is great as well. I wouldn’t go to any other podiatrist ?

Dr Gearheart blew me off. He told me I had better chances winning the lottery than getting a bone infection and now i had a pic line put in my arm and im getting iv antibiotics everyday for 6 weeks because I do have a bone infection. The MRI said so as well and he didn’t agree with that either or me explaining how much pain I was in. The infectious disease doctor couldn’t believe I was blew off by this office. That I am a high risk for bone infections.
