I have no issues at all with Dr. Hohuan but I certainly do have issues with his office staff. I found his office staff to be so ineffective with simple things like appointments, insurance processing and basic communication that I had to find another provider.

That being said, Dr. Hohuan removed a tumor from the back of my neck two years ago that left a scar much larger than I expected even though we discussed it beforehand.

IF I COULD GIVE 0 stars I would.
WORST doctor. He takes advantage that he is the only facial plastic surgeon in here. I needed a mass to be remove from my nose and both times he said he will do it but by removing it from the outside and living a big scar and I told him numerous times that he needed to approach it a different way and he kept saying no that he won’t do it. Take this in mind, he was going base on a CT Scan of MORE than 1 YEAR old. When I even ask him to first order me a new CT scan so he can see what’s going on NOW because obviously it wasn’t the same as it was over a year ago and he refused. I went grab multiple opinions in Mexico and they all said to approach it from the inside so they can see everything clearly and remove everything and when I stated that to him he always kept saying “that there was no need” but in really I feel like he was doing it because either he doesn’t know how to ; then at that point just say it or he was just trying to be lazy and take the easy route. He even said get an opinion from another doctor here in the U.S. in which I did and this new doctor out of town will be performing the surgery because he even agrees that it needs to be done and in the way that I was stating and how the other doctors in Mexico where telling me to approach it.

For years I’d look in the mirror and see my elevated bridge brought to me by the abuse of my former step dad, every time I’d look in the mirror I would be reminded of the torment I was put through and not only that, I would be displeased with my appearance shattering my confidence and making me feel worthless in a compounding feedback loop of negative thoughts. I always wanted to receive rhinoplasty to help with my confidence but was so afraid of the procedure not necessarily going wrong but not getting the result I desire, I had enough and I didn’t want to live the rest of my life feeling this way, I looked everywhere for surgeons and did several consultations, but one just felt right, Dr.Hohuan. I went in nervous not knowing what to expect I saw online the amazing transformations that he had done, but was nervous if I would end the same, the moment I stepped into his office and was face to face with him everything changed, I wasn’t nervous and when I brought up what happened to me he genuinely cared for me as a person far more than a patient, he asked if I was ok and if that person was out of my life, it made me feel so safe to see his concern and want for my well being, we talked about what I was looking to achieve and he told me it was more than possible, I went very in depth with what I was trying to achieve. after surgery, and after a week of recovery it was finally time to take off the cast and I was not ready for what I was about to witness, it was perfect. Dr.Hohuan gave me a result I could have only dreamt of and I mean that with every fiber of my being, when I envisioned this moment 4 years ago I always thought I would cry, but I couldn’t, it was impossible to shed a single tear with how euphoric the feeling was of looking in the mirror and seeing that aching problem everyday finally melt away and be only a memory. Now every time I wake up and look in the mirror I feel like my self again, like the person I should have been all along, this really feels like a dream and I can honestly say going to Dr.Hohuan was the best decision of my life.
