Dr Sowa did an amazing job on my finger. I shattered it into pieces and I didn’t think I’d ever have full use of it. It’s healing nicely and I’m back to about 75% use already. He’s always prompt. I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes. His staff are kind, caring & attentive. If you need hand surgery call them.

Dr Sowa is a good surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone. My hand is better but I’m not a fan of his office visit conversations. I guess the patient needs to just ask questions to get him talking. Very quiet individual. Nonetheless I’m happy with my results.

6/13/24: Dr. Sowa and his surgical/casting technician Eric botched a routine surgery, “I do a 100 a year, my wife was driving in 2 weeks”. Refuses to take ownership for nearly 4 months even though PT finally got him to agree to an MRI at which time he said, “sometimes we have to go back”. Now he states, “ I’m not sure this will be helpful”. EVEN THE BEST FALL DOWN, OWN UP TO IT. My arthritic thumb worked before surgery 2/6/24 now it doesn’t work at all, it stands upright BECAUSE THE 1st cast was too tight and the 2nd cast was even tighter!!! But in their opinion as long as they see wrinkles a cast is not too tight. Note: yes, I have been and continue PT. BEWARE

I mistakenly arrived for my appointment 15 minutes and one week early. The kind and friendly receptionist was able to squeeze me in despite a busy morning. Dr Sowa and the medical staff examined my injury, sent me to get X-Rays, and provided a diagnosis and treatment plan in a friendly and professional manner. I left the office with a smile on my face.

Dr. Sowa took some time today to explore different options for my disfigured and painfully swollen, arthritic hands. They took fresh X-rays. One of the best parts about this practice is that it runs like clock work. X-rays were ordered and within 4 minutes they came to take me down for films.
The X-ray tech was adorably pleasant. Dr. Sowa’s assistant today was compassionate and dear. It’s an extremely painful visit but it’s over in less than 20 minutes! Amazing !

My experience with Dr. Sowa has been top-notch! He did Thumb surgery on my left hand a year ago and my hand feels great! I just saw him for some other issues i’m having in my right hand! It’s nice to have someone I can trust!

My family has received prompt, pleasant, professional, timely care at this practice for over almost 30 years. Dr. Sowa likely won’t spend time chatting with you, but he *will* explain what’s happening with you medically, what the treatment is, what the expected recovery is, and/or what the next steps are. If you need medical care, he’s an excellent choice. If you need medical care that comes with a side of sociably exchanging pleasantries, you’ll be disappointed. But you’ll still receive excellent medical care.
