This has to the be WORST drs office in eastern CT & I 100% understand why I know so many people personally who have switched out of their office and went elsewhere. They’re rude. The desk people stay by the books and offer no compassion or problem solving solutions. This has been going on for months now with nothing of my sons when I call to get them seen when they are sick. I end up having to call the Putnam office and they make no issues to get us seen. I will never bring my sons to the Plainfield office (& we live in Plainfield) again & will take the drive to Putnam to a center who truly cares about their patients and the parents.

We love this place! especially our provider Pryanka! She is very kind, thorough, understanding, and attentive. I understand people can have a hard time getting sick apts but they have ALOT of kids at this practice. Whenever I make a sick appointment I have no problem getting in day of. I start calling right at 8 a.m though to make sure we get a spot!

Absolutely frustrated. We were told in January that our provider was no longer in network by our insurance. After responses from billing that that couldn't possibly be the case, they finally responded with "oh... we're working on it." We were forced to change providers for the referral for specialty treatment to remain active. My son has a severe critical illness, and is seen by specialty groups on a regular basis. At points he has been dependent on multiple blood products transfused in a week, and specialty medication that does not allow for him to skip doses. We were left with the option to continue with his treatments anyway (obviously.... because there is no alternative), wait to see what happened with our provider, or change providers.
Now, I have received no resolution in terms of our original provider, despite multiple follow ups. His daily medication for ADHD has finally run out, and the practice is refusing to even offer a temporary fill until he can be seen face-to-face.... for an appointment with a doctor that he's never seen, because they have not resolved the current issue, that they cannot even offer us until May 31. My son does not FUNCTION in a classroom without this medication. The practice has answered that it is because he has no recent physical on file.
Correct.... Because they have continued to accept the documentation from his specialty teams in Hartford and Boston for far more comprehensive clearances, permissions, and exams. His Hartford team communicates thoroughly and effectively, and has always coordinated their responses to medical information sharing. He has been cleared for multiple operations, is still routinely examined at a minimum of every 3 weeks, and has blood labs continuously monitored. We were, at one point last year, literally weeks from getting a transplant when his body showed a positive response to other treatments. To say that he continues to participate in a bit more than well-documented-routine care, that are a bit more comprehensive than a standard physical, is an understatement.
So now, he is stuck in a situation that has had poor communication, lack of follow through, no response to requests, delayed access to an appointment to be seen to continue care, and dismissive (if any) responses, from an organization that has very much been WHY we are chasing these problems. As a result, after missing half of last year, he may not regain access to medication in a timely fashion that allows him to participate at anything close to peer level. To say that we are upset and disappointed doesn't cover it, and we will be looking for a new provider that can actually maintain and respond to client care. The level at which they have been unable to even provide a basic response is beyond me.

Regularly told that our children can not see their Dr. " Nothing available today or tomorrow. Call back tomorrow when we open or go to the walk in clinic. We dont make appointments in advance." The walk-in clinic has one Dr. , no nurses and seems to manage! There were also a lot of kids there being seen at the walk-in, probably from all the referrals from here! Something needs to change soon!

Had a bit of a different experience with Dr. Wilcon than others have had. With an elderly grandparent fighting an infected leg wound that wouldn't heal, he got us to wound care specialists immediately, and when other problems like memory lapses began showing up, also found us specialists right away to get MRIs and cat scans and so on. He's been very patient with her, in spite of her hearing and memory problems, and goes above and beyond when it's us. Getting in appointments right away on an emergency call is also unusually easy, though if you want to schedule a normal appointment it'll be months out.

I can see why Dr. McDonald left. This place doesn’t deserve someone as good as him. My son has been having breathing problems for months and they refused to see him without a covid test. Maybe YOU should test him, you’re the doctors! Took him to the walk in, they gave him steroids and an xray and referral to pulmonology for ASTHMA, not covid! You know, asthma untreated can kill right? Geez louise!

This place needs to be shut down, I will NEVER bring my daughter to abusive and clueless doctors of Plainfield pediatrics again, the doctors are abusive to kids and terrible, YELLING at my 1 year old to stop crying after she got a shot telling her how ridiculous she sounds, this place is an absolute joke

Always been a wonderful experience when I go to this clinic. The doctors and people at the service desk have always been polite and helpful. Waiting times are usually short so I'm able to go in and out fast without being late for work or other errands.
