This office staff is completely unprofessional. I called on Thursday of August 22nd to give them the health insurance and make certain they accepted the health insurance for a doctor's appointment on Monday, August 26th at 11am.

On Monday at 9 am I called the office to find out what the copay was. The lady told me to just come in.

At 11 am as I was outside the office, I called only to find out which entrance the office was at. It was at this time, that the office staff is telling me they do not take my insurance. They had all of Thursday, all of Friday and Monday morning to check this information.

They wait until I rearranged my busy schedule to accommodate this appointment and tell me as I am pulling up to the appointment that the insurance was not accepted. To make matters worse, the supervisor asks me, 'well what would you have me do'?

Please use your time to go to a practice that can respect your time.

In October of 2020, Dr Maynard did a procedure on my wife at Piedmont Walton Hospital. We NEVER received a statement for his services. Two (2) years passed and then in November 2022, we received a COLLECTIONS NOTICE from an agency for payment of the surgeon's service and a $400 interest charge. If someone owed you over $2,100, would you wait two years for their payment. After three months, I would call them and politely inquire if there was a need to set up a payment plan. Ms. Donna, Dr. Maynard's office manager, told me his office did not call patients concerning their debt to Dr. Maynard. Ms. Donna claims numerous statements were mailed to us. If that was true, one would think that over the two year period, we would have received at least one statement. WE HAD THE FUNDS TO PAY DR. MAYNARD FOR HIS SERVICES IN 2020. But, Ms. Donna would rather a patient's debt go into "COLLECTIONS" than give the patient a courtesy call. Based on this experience, Dr Maynard may be a great surgeon, but my wife and I will refuse future services from him as long as Ms. Donna is the office manager! This review in no way reflects upon the medical and surgical expertise of Dr. Maynard or Piedmont Walton Hospital.

Dr M did my husband's emergency appendectomy a year ago and we loved him; so when I needed hernia surgery this week, I went to him. I found him to be very convivial, and clear with explanations so I knew what to expect, and his staff is very helpful. I'd readily refer someone to him .

I’ve been a patient of Dr Maynard for a little over 2yrs . I love him and his staff . They are very understanding and only want the best possible for you . They truly listen and care about all their patients. When you choose Dr Maynard you are with them for life . I highly recommend them to everyone not just for the Bariatric program but as a general surgeon as well . He did my husband’s gallbladder surgery as well .

I went to this dr to have a hernia repair I was told the procedure went well and I came home but,I notice I wasn’t getting better I call the office to explain what was going on.and I was told by one of his nurses that they couldn’t give me anymore pain meds.I explain I hadn’t filled that prescription but they said it again.so I decided to go to the hospital myself and what do they find a hematoma they drain I want to say a litter and a half off of my stomach.he came to the room to apologize but I was still having pain so he sent me to a dr that do bypass surgery as if I was gonna let them cut on me again.He claim to be going in to see what he could do but he said it was a mess in there so I left him alone and went to another dr who discovered my intestines was caught between the hernia mesh he did the surgery and I felt better but for the record once the first hernia surgery was done I notice my cycle had stop went to my dr and I was in full blown mentapause now how did that happen I was 2015 haven’t had a cycle anymore I think there was something to it because I had a cycle the day I went in and ever since then nothing I’m telling my story because I feel like they didn’t want to have anything to do with me after all of this and still till this day I have another hernia and still have pain and know one ever own up to it just sent me packing and will never go back this was like a movie you see on tv but I’m still living with pain

What a genuienly good guy. Dr. Maynard's very personable with a humourous bedside manner! Great staff with loads of information!
