I was assigned Dr. Khan for an unexpected gallbladder removal in the hospital, and I really wish I had gotten someone else. He showed up like 10 minutes before my surgery was supposed to begin, spent 2 minutes talking to me to “assess” me, and then I was whisked away into surgery. Since then, I’ve had excruciating abdominal pain so bad that I returned to the ER the day after my surgery and got a CT scan…the narcotics I was prescribed aren’t working - the only thing that dulls the pain is the morphine they gave me at the hospital. The ER doctor said my imaging and labs turned out fine, gave me more prescriptions, and told me to call Dr. Khan if the pain didn’t get better. It didn’t, so I tried calling the office to speak to Dr. Khan several times, but he would not talk to me. His staff just said to move my post-op earlier and take an extra dose of OTC pain meds. I finally got to my telemedicine post-op this morning, hoping for some relief (his office is very far from home, and I cannot drive due to the meds, and my husband has to work - which is why I didn’t go in person). This man spent 2 minutes on the phone with me and told me to just stick it out and hope it gets better because he thinks it’s just constipation from the pain meds, even though I told him I’ve been taking miralax and twice the amount of prescription colace that the ER doctor gave me. I have never had a doctor be more dismissive of my pain and uninterested in my wellbeing. Avoid him like the plague.

Let me tell you something! This man changed my life TREMENDOUSLY! He and his staff went above and beyond to comfort me before and after my surgery! I had surgery in 2019 and don’t regret it a bit! Excellent doctor and friendly staff. I had gastric bypass over 11 years ago. No problems with the surgery or afterwards. Had a revision 2 years ago again no problems. Dr. Khan is amazing and he's sincere about your treatment before and after surgery
