I underwent a hemiarthroplasty surgery performed by Dr. O'Grady, and I can't express enough how thankful I am for his expertise and compassion. For years, I endured excruciating, round-the-clock pain due to bone-on-bone friction in my shoulder. The cartilage was completely gone from my humeral head, which had deteriorated to an almost cubical shape. Absolute Best in the World. Had a Total Reverse Shoulder replacement and had an amazing outcome. Less than 4 months post-op I have played golf, gone offshore fishing, and snorkeled on vacation with a freestyle swim stroke possible. I have learned that 1-2 mm in hardware alignment can make a huge difference in end result range of motion and physical abilities. I think one of O'Grady's secrets to success is the precise MRI 3D mapping he uses to get the device perfectly place. After selecting him I learned he is one of the Top 5 shoulder surgeons in the U.S. if not the world. There is probably a waiting list for him.....it is worth it.
