I had a serious injury that required 2 surgeries, and something went wrong somewhere and I was referred to Dr Behr. He was able to immediately identify the problem, operated on me and went above and beyond to remove hardware and clean up my foot and ankle. He is very easy to talk to, gives realistic expectations and always takes time to listen and answer questions. Office wait time is minimum, office staff is on top of everything and he is great at filing paperwork and reports in a timely manner. My surgery was denied multiple times and he fought for me and got everything approved. I highly recommend him.

Just had an appointment with this doctor and I saw him for about 60 seconds and he didn't even ask if I had any questions before he left. I was literally trying to ask him questions as he was walking out the door. I barely felt like a person, just another number in a room. He seems nice but clearly didn't care about me. He didn't even say if I was supposed to come back. Cried in my car in the parking lot because this keeps happening to me. I know doctors don't know everything, but a little empathy and time to explain things and answer my questions would have gone a long way. I can't recommend this doctor with the experience I had, unfortunately.

Very fortunate to have been referred by fellow runners to Dr Behr - one of San Diego’s finest for hamstring tears. I appreciate his honesty. If I was 15 years older and more sedentary, he advised not getting the surgery but given my active lifestyle - go for it! Having torn my hamstring completely from the pelvic bone, Dr Behr put me on an aggressive path to start running again in 4-6 months. I did everything he instructed and I’m super pleased with the results. He and my physical therapist are sports focused. Again, I lucked out. Key points to keep in mind for this surgery - recommend shaving the back of your leg and glute. No one tell you, and stock up on wet wipes for post recovery. Be sure to obtain specific guidance for your Physical Therapist. We strengthened everything surrounding the hamstring until Dr Behr gave the go ahead to apply direct physical therapy to the reattached hamstring.

From the first appt to the recent one, Dr. Berh comments were not appropiete, so I did not feel him put any interest at my medical condition, who supposed to live with it, not nice words from doctor.
