Dr. Ross did my C5-C6 anterior disc replacement surgery with a mobi-C implant in July 2017. He took the time to answer all of my questions, and was very thorough in explaining the benefits vs risks for my procedure. He did not make me feel pressured in my situation, and simply laid the facts out for me. He took the time to show me my spinal MRI and demonstrate what was going on with me.

He initially proposed a fusion for me, but I requested for a disc replacement. My surgery went well without complications. He checked in on me on the evening of my day 0 post surgery, and day 1 after my surgery. If it were not for him, I would have eventually lost complete function to my left arm, hand and fingers. My quality of life could have truly been wrecked after a traumatic injury to my neck from a car accident, but it didn't.

Yes, he can come off as brusque during a clinic visit, but he is also a caring and competent physician. Truly, Dr. Ross gave me my life back and saw me for multiple visits during my first 3 months of recovery.

It's been nearly 8 years since my surgery, and I am thankful everyday that I am doing so much better now and have full function of my left arm and hand.

Thank you, Dr. Ross.

Dr Ross is a bit brusque, but he knows his way around a spine and after two surgeries for two different issues, I trust him completely. I can walk again without pain and at almost 70, that's a great gift

He's the worst doctor I've ever encountered. He operates on fear. If you look at all the staff around him, they are all afraid of him. He purposefully does rounds outside of patient visiting hours so family cannot ask him questions. He's proven to me that he does not care for his patients, the moment they ask for a second opinion, he takes it personally and disregards any future outcomes. Every patient, especially in a precarious situation related to neurosurgery, has a right to a second opinion without retribution. He runs his department unchecked.

First impression was less than favorable with Dr. Ross. He was arrogant, made it obvious that he wasn't interested in treating me, as soon as I started to answer his questions - he cut me off as said he had to go. I was looking for a direction to some sort of treatment. He just lectured me and said that no amount of natural weight loss would help, that I should have gastric bypass. Said my problem wasn't very severe, but kept talking about how many extra calories I was probably consuming if I sat on the couch "crunching on chips". Also told me of how his daughter had weight loss surgery because she was having social, career, and self confidence issues because of her weight. NOTE: I am aware that weight loss would indeed improve my condition, however, I am looking for a solution to the pain I am in so I can exercise. Overall, I felt like this was a waste of my time, and that he had a terrible attitude. He may be a great surgeon, but was not interested in having me as a patient.
