I have held off on this review as I wanted to see how the follow-up from my appt. went.
Although Dr. Demicco was able to provide an answer for me that other doctors have not been able to solve for the last 5 years, I am not sure its been worth the headache of what I have experience. Valencia the MA was amazing too, such a breath of fresh air from the main female worker at the front (with the nails). Demicco's NP, Erin - is phenomenal! She was such a professional and was able to translate the very clinical speak Dr. Demicco spoke. If she saw patients I would certainly see her. Dr. Demicco himself lack bedside manners, did not introduce himself nor ask my name but again, he was all business and I appreciate the diagnosis and immediate tx plan proposal.
I was to be referred to another specialist, my appt was 10/28 with Demicco, as of 12/02 I had not heard from this other specialist. I called Demicco's office on 12/02 to ask for the name of the specialist so that I may call - I left a voicemail as there was no answer. I waited until mid day 12/04 since I had not received a call back and Sheryl tried telling me the other specialist called and could not leave a voicemail - now I know this to be untrue because I don't save voicemails and typically there are two attempts which were not made from Docto's office's. Sherly tried telling me that was not the case, she does need an attitude adjustment, you work with chronically ill people and have zero compassion or ability to actively listen. Arguing about what happened when you were not present is not productive. Additionally, especially when you have patients in the waiting room, you should not speak ill of other patients because they don't align to decisions you would make for yourself.
Now I am without an specialist referral, weeks have passed without treatment and I am on the hunt again. This should not be what health care is.

I was referred to Dr Demicco by my general practitioner after a recent cancer diagnosis. I spoke to his referral nurse on numerous occasions for scheduling because I did not hear from anyone after a month. She asked that I have my referral papers faxed immediately to her and she’d squeeze me in January’s schedule. I called back before the holidays to confirm and was told she’d call me back. When I did not receive the call I called back. I was presented with an attitude and the same …. I’ll call you when I get to you. I told her she had asked me to fax the papers etc per her request and she’d squeeze me in. I was presented with attitude and argumentative . I said thank you and hung up. She called back to argue again and said she’s refusing my referral because “we don’t like attitude” . I am a cancer patient and some common empathy would be nice. Disappointed and shocked at how we are at the mercy of the healthcare’s staff - most importantly the rude ones. Her name I believe is Sheryl.

Dr. Demicco is the perfect doctor I have been looking for. He listened, wasn't in a hurry, and had the right solutions for my case. His office staff is kind and patient, the nicest I have ever met. I don't at all agree with anyone who says that Dr. Demicco is unprofessional. He knows what he's doing, and is easy to communicate with. His office staff know their duties, and they are great while doing it. I know his waiting room could use a little sprucing up, but who cares? I am not there to critique the decorating. His well run office gets five stars from me any day.

Dr. Demicco is a wonderful doctor but his help has me and my family wanting to find another. Half the time they don’t answer the phones and recently the help is really nasty! For now I am looking for another along with my family!

My Dr sent over a referral over 2weeks almost My Dr said called the office I've only talk to the answering machine no one returned my phone call so I guess I need to just ask for another referral to a different Doctor at this point cause waiting is not going to help my situation 😮‍💨🥺

I appreciate Dr. Demicco so much! He took me on as a patient when no other Rheumatologist in Savannah would...they did not take my insurance! Dr. Demicco and his office staff helped me and continue to help me years later. I highly recommend him for any autoimmune issue!

WARNING: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. IT'S A COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY. I honestly do not understand how this place is still open. I never thought I would feel like I was "scammed" by a " doctor " and his "office" until now. They are dishonest and completely disorganized. They do not care about your health. It's ALL about what they can get out of your pockets and what they can bill your insurance for. The star is ONLY so I could PRE-WARN other people to stay away and beware.
