Our elderly mother switched to Dr. Wilcon a year ago. Terrible experience...we got her out of there ASAP!

After 1 year, this doctor had no idea she was taking Tresiba and refused to refill it. He told me to go to her cardiac doctor; she said it's prescribed by the PCD. Then at the last minute after many calls to his office - with only 2 pills left - he said our mother would have to have blood work to check her A1C. Really. How does a doctor not know what medications his patient is on?

He had all her files from the previous doctor that showed she was on Tresiba for years. My mother always went to her primary care appointments and handed Dr. Wilcon and his nurse her updated medical list. Plus, the lists from DKH over the past year had Tresiba on the list of meds they gave our mother each time she was hospitalized.
Additionally, her heart failure doctor said it is vital she be on it because it not only helps with her diabetes, but it helps her heart condition as well. We gave our mother's updated medical list to Dr. Wilcon and his nurse every time our mother was in his office. However, the Tresiba medication was not on his list.

Plus this doctor has only one computer. If that is down, he can't care for his patients. At one hospital-follow-up visit, he walked in 30 mins late. He was all flustered and kept yelling out the door to his staff, "My computer is not working." He ended up having to follow up with us the next day and did not service our mother.

Finally, Dr. Wilcon is very condescending. When he asked questions staring at his computer, I would push mother's medical list toward him and he would just flick it away in a dismissive manner.
Beware of this office.

Hands down the BEST PCP I have ever had. I moved 1.5 hours away but still see him because he is that good. Attentive, identifies problems (even when the ER misses it), and provides superb referrals. I highly recommend Dr. Wilcon for anyone seeking an exceptional physician.

Dr Wilcon is very thorough, and very knowledgeable, a great primary care Dr, he answered all of my questions, and has a great staff in the DKMG Plainfield office, I would highly recommend this practice.

Unprofessional pill doctor who roles in with his laptop and rushes through your appointment. Not only did he never schedule the cat scan that I was supposed to get, he also misread the x-ray results of my back. Made me book another appointment just to mention something that would have taken less than a minute.
