This is more a criticism than a bad review. Let me explain this: anyone who knows doctors as I do knows they are scientists, they love medical data and complex problems, they are compassionate, and in general, they love to help people and seek opportunities to thrive and achieve success. However, most high-ranked doctors lack the great staff to complement their expertise, and, sadly, people run away from opportunities to improve life. When you contact a doctor with a problem and offers everything you have in detail about your medical issues and medical records, a good doctor looks at it as two doctors I have contacted already (Graeme Whyte, NY & Robert Heartzler, TX) (fantastic doctors) and give you options and an opinion so you dont waste your time and theirs. It is about patients' wellness, no business. I sent everything I had asking this doctor to review my case and help, and I was turned down by a staff member "You have to come over here so we can go over your stuff", clearly this is a staff opinion over whatever the doctor think about, I bet Dr. Berry doesn't even have an idea about my email. Well, this tells me out of the gate that I will have issues in this clinic since patients are "business," like coming over here so we can make a record, claim to insurance, collect copay, and have 5 min with the doctor. Major flag! Unfortunately, I will have to ignore my doctor's recommendation for this clinic and seek another option on the horizon. Another thing, when clinics aren't prepared and updated about technology, it means they don't care about innovation; a One Drive folder or Google Driver folder with your medical stuff should be valid and able to be reviewed; when it doesn't, please run away; these people are outdated and lack of knowledge. Don't put your health at risk.

Update: As you can see, they take more time to post dumb comments in reply to reviews than going through someone's medical records lol. Yes, I did send my records, and I received a response from your staff clown. Anyway, I did find what I needed with another doctor and am doing amazing. Thanks 🙂

I went to Dr. Berry with hip pain that other doctors just dismissed. At the point i saw Dr. Berry, i was at a point to where i did not think i could live with the pain and problems much longer. It effected every aspect of my life. I was out of hope. I saw Dr. Berry in his Wylie office. He was late a couple of times and the Wylie office was newly opened so a little unorganized. But let me tell you, the compassion Dr. Berry showed me was top notch. I cried when i got in the car because FINALLY someone heard and saw me! I ended up getting a cortizone injection in my hip. I had an upcoming trip to Europe and Dr. Berry and his schedulers went above and beyond to get my injection done to where maximum effect would be in place while i was traveling. It was a night and day difference almost immediately. Dr. Berry told me this was not a long term fix but would help me get through this trip. I am 5ish months out and i am in pain again. But i see Dr. Berry soon and i feeo confident he will listen to me with compassion once again as we discuss more long term solutions.

I saw Dr. Barry 3 times. My PCP referred me for joint pain. From the first appointment Dr. Barry always seemed to be rushed and gave me the impression he didn't have much time for me. But, after all, he was one of the best around and I assumed he was a very busy man. He referred me for two other opinions and after these two appointments I went back to Dr. Barry. This third appointment ( he was 45 minutes late) he came in asking what do you want and what can I do or you? You tell me. He's the Dr. and I felt he should tell me. Anyway after 10 minutes or so he said he can't do anything for me and encouraged me to follow up with a Rheumatology Dr. I asked Dr. Barry for a work note as I have been off work due to the pain. He said just tell me the dates and I will write it for you. I reached down to get my Leave of Absence paperwork and his demeaner changed immediately, Oh no, he said. I don't fill those out. I asked why, his response was fast and curt, I am a surgeon, I work 14 hours a day, when am I supposed to fill out this kind of stuff. I attempted to make a joke and said, I don't know, maybe tonight after dinner and then I laughed. He didn't think this was funny and stood up to leave stating I'm done, 'I'm out of here' and headed to the door. I said wait Dr. I have a question, and he walked out the door, never looking back and said I'm done with you. I immediately started to cry, I have never been treated this way by a healthcare professional. When I got to the front desk I asked if they can see if he will still write me a work note and was told to e-mail my request, which I did. The response I got from his office was he would not write a note because I am no longer his patient. He told me he'd write me a note after he said he couldn't help anymore, In my opinion he is ego-centric and has a terrible bedside manner. He treated me so poorly. I am a 65 year old woman with a disability and there was no compassion or empathy, from him, for the pain I am in.
