My feet hurt to varying degrees for close to 30 years. I blame genetics mostly and had had surgery twice before I found Dr G. Neither helped in the long run, but Dr G did. I had 3 surgeries and have been completely pain free for several years. It was life changing.

My wife went to Dr. Guglielmo because she had a piece of glass in her heel. After a CT scan, the doctor called to schedule surgery in New Milford Hospital in 2 days, but yet, couldn't answer a few basic questions about what the CT scan showed. That's because he hadn't seen the scan.

His plan was to make an incision in her heel, and we were told there would be a 2 to 3 week recovery. We were skeptical at best. Surgery in a hospital for a glass splinter?

We did not make the appointment at that moment and began looking for a 2nd opinion.

We found that 2nd opinion; saw the doctor within 48 hours and brought the CT scan with us. After about a 10 minute procedure, with no anesthesia, the glass was out of her foot. A little neosporin and a band aid and we were on our way home.

What would have cost up to $1000, as per my insurance coverage, instead cost us a $45 office visit copay.

To all my fellow patients, always get a 2nd opinion. Ortho CT for podiatry, never again.

5 stars aren’t enough for OrthoConnecticut or Dr. Guglielmo. All the staff (reception, X-ray, assistants, etc.) have been awesome. I had back to back foot surgeries so I was in the office quite often. I was treated like a person, not an ID or patient number. Having personable staff and a personable doctor is important to me. From my initial consultation, I felt comfortable with Dr. Guglielmo. He went over every detail of the surgeries and he didn’t rush the visit. All my questions were answered and I left knowing I was in good hands.
Both surgeries went very well. I have a lot of hardware in my feet and I was on crutches for sometime. My recovery was never rushed nor delayed and Post-Op visits were thorough and complete. I never left the office wondering ‘what if?’
There are many choices when it comes to doctors, surgeons and practices. Doing your homework is crucial. Surgery is a serious matter and it requires a specific set of skills and abilities. OrthoConnecticut and Dr. Guglielmo have made a rough situation tolerable with a great bedside manner and impeccable skills. The surgical results speak for themselves. Comparing before and after photos, I am more than pleased (and amazed!)

I recently had a bunionectomy done on my right foot by Dr. Giglieomo. Before my surgery I had people telling me how painful it was going to be. I was asked repeatedly was I sure I wanted to go through that.... I'm so glad I did not listen and had it done. Dr. G and his staff were personable, professional and very knowledgeable. While there was some discomfort from the surgery (to be expected) it was nothing like the stories I had been told. I followed his instructions, and I am very pleased with the outcome. I will definitely be visiting Dr. G again soon to do the left foot.

I have been going to Dr. Guglielmo for treatment of my plantar faciitis for years. While I have had it on and off for years, he always treats it successfully (it is my bad habits that result in relapse!). I also brought my minor son when he had foot issues due to soccer. Dr. Guglielmo was excellent in explaining to him what he needs to do to get better and how to avoid making it worse. Dr. Guglielmo is always proactive, and he takes the time to explain what is going on, and his recommended treatment is so important to clearing up the problem.

I had plantar fasciitis in my left foot and Dr. Guglielmo operated and now I no longer have any pain. He did this while he himself was in pain with a bad hip. He was absolutely wonderful, and kind. Very patient with me. He is a gem!
