I have been with East Granby Family Practice since they opened some 40 years ago! Will I say every visit was amazing. Would I say I always got the answers I wanted. What I did get was the treatment that was needed at the time. A referral to a specialist that was a good fit for me!! Always called back when needed and over the years meeting some of the best medical professionals a family practice has to offer. I will say over 40 years I have had to wait a little longer then I’d like for an appointment, but if it’s an emergency a family practice is not a place to be!!
Now several of the doctors and APRN’s will be retiring and I will with the help of my trusting retiring healthcare providers find new providers for me! I wish those retiring all the best that retirement offer. You’ve done your best and I appreciate you and Will miss you all! We go back some 42 years. Thank you so much!

The doctors and nurses are and were cordial and professional. The care is first rate. The administrative folks are good as well.
The patient portal is not good at all. I'm doing what I can to cancel it. It is not user friendly and difficult to navigate. I'm waiting for a return call from the office manager to help me cancel the portal..

The one encounter I had that I recall anyway was unpleasant enough that I will NOT establish care if I change doctors. Somehow my info ended up in their system resulting in getting an automated call after over a decade of supposedly initiating some interaction on my end I DO. NOT. RECALL. INITIATING. And did NOT set up any appointments. Yet their automated system dialed me after office's transition from an older one to a newer one that automatically dials patients and hassles them once they're in that damn database to remind about scheduling flu shots, etc. REALLY? And especially if I never established care ALL THAT !@#$%^&*() TIME AND THE INFO IS MYSTERIOUSLY IN THE SYSTEM OVER A DECADE LATER? What the hell is the point of having that info still active in the system under those circumstances? Didn't help either that the staff member I talked to when I was visibly upset decided to respond "in kind". That's not acceptable and a definite deal breaker for if or when I shop around for a new doctor.

East Granby is one of the best practices I have worked with. They are truly a family and care about their patients. They have generations of families come through there because the care they provide is individualized and compassionate. They spend time with their patients and always put the patients problems first. The providers are knowledgeable and experienced. They listen and truly want their patients to be healthy and allow the patients to be involved in their own care. Their office works like a well oiled machine. If you are looking for a new PCP this office is highly recommended.

My doctor is amazing. This post has nothing to do with the doctors in this building.

The office staff however, is a completely different story. They deserve less than one star and i would have rated them accordingly had this site given me the option.

They are rude, condescending, dismissive, and act as if every time you talk to them you are bothering them or taking them away from their job (reminder - this is their job). I understand you may have many other admin duties but answering the phone for questions or appointment requests is one of them.
I believe i may have spoken to one kind person in this entire office. Everyone else is extremely rude. Their patronizing and snobby attitude is felt through the phone. If i end up going to another primary care doctor, the office admin staff would be the reason.
Although i have had pleasant experiences with doctors here, my advice would be to go somewhere else.

The supercilious tone coming from the staff in the office is not worth your time.

Do not go here. Do not see Dr Ghumman unless you only need to see him for antibiotics.

He doesn't care about his patients. He doesn't follow up with patients. If you have questions, you have to make another appointment.

He doesn't fill.out medical paperwork. He is retired on the job. 10 mins, and moves to next patient.

Grievances have been filed. Find a Dr that cares and treats you like a human being and not a car coming in for an oil change.

Established care with Dr Kim Davis today and she was amazing. She was kind and took her time during the appointment. I can’t remember the last time I had a doctor take the time to get to know me during an appointment. Highly recommend Dr Davis.

Came for my annual physical which was already rescheduled and upon arrival they had no appointment for me. Staff was very unapologtic and blamed a new computer system regardless of the fact I spoke with someone in the office two times prior to this appointment. My husband had a similar experience a few years back and left the practice. I liked my PA so I stayed, then she left, and now this happened. I will now be looking for a new Primary Care office!
