Me and my Fiancé both have had awful experiences at this hospital. He got charged over $3000 for what was supposed to be a whole bag of fluids he barely got a quarter of that bag because they didn’t want to continue to hook him and unhooked him from the IV and wouldn’t give him a portable IV pole! Then they dropped his blood they took from him in the trash and then took it out the trash and took it to the lab! They said they think he might have a stomach bug. And when we went up there for my miscarriage they put me and him in a room the Dr. had no idea where to start and then I waited from 11 o’clock at night all the way to about 10 the next morning for an ultrasound. They never showed me my ultrasound and never told me a reason I was miscarrying but they told my fiancé in the hallway. I just found out a few months ago why. We were even told by A NURSE that if we ever had anymore pregnancy issues not to come there I was told that I needed to go to Statesboro or Vidalia. Got charge over $4000 for that visit if I remember correctly. I will never go back to EMC! If I do I will immediately ask to be sent to another hospital!

NO STARS. Was told my deadly cough wasn’t a priority, by a nurse(I wish I would’ve gotten her name), been in this waiting room for 2 hours. I stopped coming to this hospital years ago and made a bad choice today. I will not be back for myself or anyone I care about because these nurses and doctors don’t care.

Dr. A is rude and unattaintive towards patients. From the waiting rooms to the bathrooms are kept in unsanitary and filthy conditions. The doctor stated "In my country our people learn how to suffer. You Americans are spoiled and pampered too much." Dr. refused to do blood work even though there was a documented history of decreased liver and kidney function. I would rather die on the way to another hospital than get bandaids from this stain on our community.

I was admitted to the behavioral health unit and it is the worst impatient mental facility I have ever been too!! All you do is sit around and watch tv. It’s very obvious that the nurses and staff DO NOT CARE about there patients! If you need help DO NOT GO HERE! I witnessed nurses slam doors in patients faces, they are required to do safety checks every 15 min I was in my room for 3 hours reading and not one person came to check on me. This place needs to be shut down and lawsuits waiting to happen!! If I could give zero stars I would!!!

Long waits, no one checks in on patients. I've spent 4 1/2 hours with my mother for coughing, and still have not seen a doctor yet. Its dang ridiculous ? no communication poor services, unfriendly non caring staff.

My schizophrenic sister was sent home after two weeks. The nurse said she was much better and absolutely was the same as she did when she went in. This is not a place for anyone who has chronic mental illnesses. This is only to stabilize mildly bipolar patients. The staff is nice but completely incompetent when it comes to treatment of mental health. I wouldn’t send anyone there quite honestly. The night my sister came home she was still combative and destroyed the kitchen. Thanks for nothing

This is the worst hospital. Took my mother in for a fall she had in May 2023. We came in I. A wheel chair, they gave her morphine for pain then took her in for an xray and dropped her. I complained to hospital they said the would give me a call and sent 2 letters stating they are investigating and they would get back with me and here it is November 2023 and they have forgotten about her. This hospital doesn't care about anyone, if you have to send your parents here ... DONT!! I wish I could give zero stars

I would give zero stars if I could. I went to the ER a few weeks ago in the worst pain I've ever been in. The nurses were good. The ER doctor (a big black man) was a joke. He never once came into the room until I refused medicine he ordered that makes me vomit like the exorcist. He just thought I was there for pain medicine. He was rude and had the bedside manner of a cow. Basically he just wanted me gone. He chose to attack my daily medicines and a shoulder injury as my problem. What he didn't know was I had already seen my orthopedic surgeon that same week and this was not that pain. They did no blood work. They finally tried to do x-rays and said nothing was wrong with me. Gave me a pill and I just walked out. 1 week later, I'm in worse pain and my boss drove me to the ER in the town I work in, because my speech, vision, and coordination was terrible. I lost feeling in my arm, hand, and fingers. I couldn't move my head. I was vomiting everywhere. That hospital took my condition very seriously. Within 15 minutes I was hooked up to machines, my bp was 164 over 108. Within 30 minutes a real doctor stood before me asking questions and listening to know exactly what was going on. 45 minutes after my arrival I was given medication to calm my bp and pain. I was sent for a CT scan. Blood was drawn. IV's were started. The nurses were amazing. 1 hour later the same doctor came in my room. I had 2 pinched nerves. 1 in my neck in a very dangerous place and 1 in my shoulder. I had a very bad kidney infection and was severely dehydrated. Yet, the joke of a doctor at EMANUEL MEDICAL CENTER said there was nothing wrong. PLEASE, IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF MEDICAL ATTENTION.... DON'T GO HERE!
