I had 6 bone spurs removed from the top of my foot near my big toe. Dr Mason & Macy were awesome! They made me feel so comfortable the entire time. My surgery was yesterday. I'm recovering nicely & looking forwards to having healthy feet again once the incision heals and the swelling goes away. 😀 Highly recommend Dr Mason & Macy!

Very efficient office staff! The front desk person was friendly and personable. As a first time patient, I thoroughly appreciated her welcoming smile.
Macy, the nurse was also welcoming and so knowledgeable. We had quite the conversation before Dr. Mason came in.
The diagnosis was exactly what I was anticipating and what Macy had predicted as well. Dr. Mason was efficient and concerned with my comfort with his treatment.
I would definitely recommend Crossroads Podiatry to all!

Dr. Mason is always wonderful. He took care of my toe after I dropped a can of Scrubbing Bubbles on it several weeks ago. I did not lose the nail and Dr. Mason had to cut the nail very short. He did not hurt me at all.

What a horrible experience yesterday!

Dr. Mason‘s office called on Monday to tell me that their office in Newnan was under construction and they would be working out at the Fayetteville office on Tuesday. Would I be willing to go there for mama’s appointment? I agreed even though it’s a 45 minute drive With traffic versus 5 minutes to the newnan office because I desperately need to keep her appointments staggered and not let them stack up on each other.

My mother is 85 years old and in a wheelchair so I have to hire a wheelchair van service at a cost of approximately $280 to go to Fayetteville. It was our first time at the Fayetteville office and it was difficult to find Dr. Mason‘s office. He’s not on the directory (that no one bothered to mention) so that was a little stressful!!!However after two phone calls and changing building entrances only to find out we were still going to the same elevator where he wasn’t listed on directory we were still on time for an 11 o’clock appointment.

When we finally arrived upstairs to his office we were greeted by the receptionist and she said she would get mama checked in and be right back. There was NO ONE in the waiting room!! Finally at 11:25 the receptionist came out and asked for mama’s insurance card. I stated to the woman that we had an 11 o’clock appointment and because of mama’s pressure ulcers she received at Piedmont Newnan Hospital she can only sit in her chair 2 hours. The women told me they had a lot going on with the construction in the other office… I said I realize you have a lot going on but we did have an 11 o’clock appointment at newnan and traveled to Fayetteville to keep the appointment.

Then the woman stated they don’t take Humana insurance and hadn’t been paid for the last visit! We’ve been to Doctor Mason twice in the last 2 years so I was shocked I was just now hearing about this. He has always been sweet to mama I have previously given him great reviews (that I deleted after yesterday’s experience). On his behalf, she did say Dr. Mason would still see mama as a courtesy this time.

I want all mama’s doctors and care providers to be paid so I asked the woman if she could try mama Medicare card. She stated to me that it didn’t work that way either have Medicare or Humana not both. I told her I understood that but mama is an anomaly. I don’t know how or why but somehow she appears to have both. Her conservator still pays her supplement payment, and yet she gets Humana too. I realize it’s not supposed to work that way, but for some reason in the past mama has had both coverages could she try it.

When she tried to ADD Medicare, it wouldn’t accept it. So I asked her if she could delete the Humana card since they’re not part of the Humana network and just use the Medicare. She got highly offended and told me not to tell her how to do her job. In my own defense, I am under a lot of stress , it was stressful to get to their office, it was stressful to wait 25 minutes in an empty office (no other patients were there)…but I was truly trying to make sure that Dr. Mason got paid. I was merely making a suggestion. She disappeared and a few minutes later Dr. Mason came out yelling at me that I was rude and obnoxious and that he would not see my mother. My mother has Parkinson’s, and uses very few words, but understands every single thing that is said. I am still in disbelief that he would talk that way in front of his patient and would deny his patient services no matter what he thought of me. I apologized multiple times if they thought I was being rude or obnoxious….it certainly was not my intent. I was simply trying to get him paid. He did not accept my apology.

He then told me it was stupid for me to pay $300 to have my mom come to an office visit when he could’ve come to my house for $75!!! I asked how in the world would I have known that? Does he advertise that? He admitted that his staff had made a mistake and mama should’ve never been scheduled let alone rescheduled for an appointment, but he still refused to see my mother.

Dr. Mason was my favorite doctor and after moving away, I just drove 4 hours for him to care for my dislocated ankle. The staff has always been like my family and I adore them all.
