This was my first visit. Considering i was sick, it was a very pleasant experience. The staff and the Doctor were all pleasant. They didn't treat me like just another patient. They were friendly and made me feel comfortable. My family Doctor is leaving the practice where I usually go so I will be transferring here.

Walked in with my daughter who was experiencing ear pain and a fever. There were 2 others in line, I waited for a couple minutes in line then noticed the QR code for mobile registration on the front desk. I scanned it, filled out the paperwork, provided my DL and insurance then got a confirmation that I was registered. The lady at the front desk walked in and out of the doors to the small waiting area to give some paperwork to another patient a couple times, at this point there were only two others in the lobby with us. The waiting area begins to fill up and a patient that came in after my daughter and I was called back. I walked up to the front desk to ask if my daughter was next. The lady at the front said because I didn’t go up and speak to her, my daughter wasn’t checked in. There was NO indication of needing to “check in” with the lady at the front desk or any other action needed to check in. She saw me sitting with my daughter for over 30 mins and didn’t have the courtesy to say anything. At this point, the wait was over an hour. I asked if my daughter would be next after speaking to her and she said she “couldn’t guarantee it” with a smug grin while my daughter had tears from pain. I ended up leaving to another urgent care that actually cares. Terrible experience.

The staff here were very concerned, caring, and nice. They went above and beyond in getting me in and out. Definitely made it a pleasant urgent care experience after a 12 hr shift!

My son fell this evening playing baseball and injured the back of his head. We rushed to Dahlonega Family Care. There was, of course, some paperwork to be filled out, but by the time I was finished signing, we were being escorted back into an exam room. Jordan did a fantastic job assessing his head without hurting him, carefully inspecting, and irrigating the wound. Avery came in and looked as well, determining it did need to be stitched to heal properly. The two of them worked together flawlessly to ensure that the experience was as pain free as possible, and my son reported no discomfort during the process. I cannot speak enough to the professionalism and efficiency I observed tonight from the front desk, Jordan, and Avery. From the time of injury to the time we left Dahlonega Family Care, stitched and paid up, was under an hour. Thank you to all of you.

My daughter went there yesterday with a fractured foot. The. X-ray tech obviously does not know how to take an X-ray when she told her to “put the part that hurts in the center” TOTALLY not how to take an x-ray! I am an ARRT RT(R)(CT) so I should know. The doctor told her it was not fractured.
Her entire foot up to the ankle turned purple and I told her to go to the Emergency Department. They took an AP, lateral and oblique projection. Even my 19 year old daughter was able to see the fracture without it being pointed out.

I adore the staff at Family Care Dahlonega! They are professional, respectful, and deeply invested in taking care of their patients. I highly recommend this urgent care for your medical needs. My family uses them for emergency services and General Practitioner purposes and we have always been so happy with our experience. I’m so glad this family owned doctor’s office is part of our community!
