Del doctor nada que opinar, me hubiera gustado atenderme mi problema en la mano pero por términos no superados con los que hablamos español en la recepción me dieron un NO rotundo de que no atendían en español ni usaban traductor, esto me ha sucedido en varias ocasiones se refieren como bilingüe y realmente no lo son

My PA highly recommended Dr. Helgemo. She said he was the only Dr. She would let operate on her hands. That was enough for me. I've had two carpal tunnel surgeries and he has done a great job. He is kind and personable. I felt confident the first time I met him. The staff is warm and comforting. I wouldn't consider any one else for my hands.

Communication prior to appointment was outstanding. Very professional staff. Very kind and courteous. Dr. Helgemo was very thorough. He explained everything. He took time needed to address concerns. Never felt rushed like you do anymore when going to see a doctor. I would highly recommend.

I would give them a 5 star if it weren't for the long wait times. I really like the doctor, Carolyn, Mandy and Amanda. They were competent, explained every procedure thoroughly and were very pleasant to work with. But they left me sitting in my little room for very long periods of time. Hopefully it was just a really busy day/time. 4.5 stars.

My experience with Florida Hand Center was pleasant. All staff members were very attentive and friendly. Most importantly, their knowledge and treatment of what they are there for! I had treatment for a different problem about 9 years ago and was very happy with my outcome at that time as well.

My appt was at 10:30a and arrived at 10:20. I was taken into the exam room a few minutes early and the first assistant got my detailed medical history. The second person was the P.A. (who is essentially a doctor and very experienced) who examined my hand, and described the various treatment modalities for a trigger finger, stating that they would start with the most conservative—an injection—which as a retired doctor (D.D.S.), I especially appreciated because it was always my philosophy as well. She gave the.inject painlessly and then explained how to care for it, what to expect, and the possibility of future treatment, eg., surgery. Finally , after a very brief wait, Dr. Helgemo entered and explained at length the condition, as well as what to expect. Everyone in that office was extremely personable and at no time did I feel like I was on an assembly line.

Overall, the visit was short but I never felt rushed in any way. It’s unusual to find any doctor these days who spends ample time listening to the patient and gives the opportunity to answer any questions they may have. From the reception staff to the doctor, I would give six stars if available. At 70, I have a lengthy medical history and they didn’t miss or overlook anything, and as a medical professional, I know very well how incredibly complicated and intricate the hand is. I recommend the Hand Center highly and thank my general practitioner, Dr. David McAtee, for enthusiastically recommending them. Dr. Jed Andrews

Dr. Helgamo and his staff treat their patients with respect and compassion. The office runs like a well-oiled machine. Dr. Helgamo explains all treatment options thoroughly and answers all questions. The office staff is great. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient.
