I had an appointment yesterday at 4:15pm on 10/16/2013. Came prepared with all of my paperwork filled out and insurance card ready and gave it to the front desk assistant. I sat in the waiting room for over 20 minutes. Nurse came in asked me back to take blood pressure and wait for the Doctor. I sat in the exam room for about 5 minutes when some other lady walked in the room and said that my insurance card was no good there and I had to pay cash. She said she could not get a hold of anybody on the phone from my insurance company so instead of honoring my appointment would not serve me unless I paid cash for my visit. She said my insurance card was only good at hospitals and they would not honor it. I briefly tried to explain to the lady that I had used the card several times for other Dr. Visits as I broke my arm in July and was in and out of the Doctors office a whole bunch and never got hassled like I did here. My deductible had been met in full a long time ago so did not make sense for me to pay cash when my insurance company was going to cover it. To make a long story short instead of saying mean things I just grabbed my jacket and left the office and said I will go see another podiatrist. Bottom line if you want to be hassled and have your time wasted come see Eagle-Summit Ankle clinic. If you would like to be treated with professional, courteous service go elsewhere my guess is you will be happy you did!

Excellent experience. Got appt in 3 days in satellite office in Frisco. Easy checkin as new patient. Everything was smooth, friction free and on time. I went in for 1 acute problem, got solutions for 2 other chronic problems as well. Dr Maurer was knowledgeable, quick and pleasant. I will go back again if needed and would recommend this practice and Dr. to family and friends. Good Dr and well run office

I have had surgery on both feet by Dr. Maurer for bunions and hammer toes, I was always told how painful it was. My husband told me to expect the worst pain as he had his bunions done along time ago. I never had any pain at all, I did have tenderness which is to be expected after surgery. He has also treated me over the years for other foot issues. Dr. Maurer is kind and compassionate, I highly recommend him.

Wholehearted endorsement for Dr. Maurer and his staff
Well, I broke a bone in my foot training for one of the ultras in the Colorado Rockies. Pain, disrupted training routine, hundreds of hours of training and dreams put on hold. That was the bad.
The good was that I found a fantastic doctor in Frisco, Dr. Maurer.
Dr. Maurer really took the time to listen to my story, my background, my concerns and I got to ask all the questions. Dr. Maurer really empathized with my situation and we went through the options for treatment with pros and cons clearly explained. Addressing the challenges and adjustments to my daily life was not an afterthought, but an integral part of the treatment. Wow!
Doctor Maurer has the nicest bedside manner, thoughtful disposition, he is very patient and really understands running and runners.
I knew I was in the best of hands with Dr. Maurer and his staff. My sincerest and most grateful thanks for taking me on as a patient after my injury, and the wholehearted endorsement.

They were selling me on custom foot beds I was skeptical at first then they told me typically insurance covers 100% of the expense with zero out of pocket to you. I told them here is my insurance information please make sure it's 100% covered by insurance and won't cost me a penny to have done. Call me and let me know what you find out if it's free we can schedule it. They called me back told me I would have zero out of pocket expenses and I set it up. The footbeds work good no complaints staff was friendly but then of course 2 months later I get a bill in the mail from them. I called them and told them my situation... told them their employees told me it would be a zero out of pocket cost. Gave them the chance to make it right and wave the fee they were charging me but they opted not to and told me even if the employee says there will be zero out of pocket costs. That I still signed the paper work and I must pay. I visited them 4 times this summer and they will no longer have my business! I wouldn't trust a word they tell you about payment!

I was never told they were out of network. I had to pay extra $30 co-pay as a result. I was billed over the amount paid by my insurance despite paying my co-pay. I will not use them again.
