I had Plantar Fasciitis and heel spur surgery performed by Dr. Sarvepalli D. Jokhai in Perry, GA, about 1.5 years ago, and I have been deeply disappointed with the outcome. Since the surgery, I’ve experienced persistent pain and significant difficulty walking, standing, and even sitting unless my foot is elevated. Driving long distances has become particularly challenging because it is my dominant foot, and this has negatively impacted my household since my husband is unable to drive for medical reasons.

The surgery has left me relying on a cane for mobility, which I’ve had to use ever since. Dr. Jokhai suggested a second surgery to address the ongoing issues, but I declined due to my lack of confidence in the results. This experience has been frustrating and disheartening, and I feel it has greatly diminished my quality of life.

I would not recommend this procedure or office based on my experience.

I have been going to Dr. Johkai for a couple of years. The office and staff are wonderful. I recently had an issue with my insurance and Monique was so helpful and she was able to rectify the problem quickly allowing me to make my appointment that morning. Lilly is wonderful as well they both have wonderful personalities making customer service a priority. Dr. Johkai is very kind, knowledgeable and he listens to his patients concerns. I really appreciate how he has taken care of my foot issues as well as my son's. Thank you all.

Dr. Jokhai performed a terrible surgery on my husbands foot for plantar’s fasciitis and my husband has more pain than before. He recommended surgery on the other foot before that one was healed and I refused to not get a second opinion first.

We Went to Dr. Kalish in Atlanta and in two weeks he healed the other foot with custom orthotic shoe inserts. No surgery needed in the opposite foot.

Dr Jokhai is a smooth talker. I did not see him when I dropped off and picked up my husband from surgery during holiday season and he tried to talk my husband out of having surgery in the holiday season. He claimed it was because he was dressed for surgery.

My husband ended up having ANOTHER surgery on the same foot trying to fix the original surgery. Dr. Kalish came out after surgery and gave me instructions. Unlike this doctor he put a drip tube in the foot post surgery to reduce scar tissue. I highly recommend this option as it was a better recovery. However my husbands foot will never be the same.

My husband has terrible scar build up years later and a bunch of pain. He’s in pain walking and I wish we had tried custom orthotics inserts first. Any doctor that doesn’t recommend that First does not have your best interest.

Also he promised my husband he would be walking in 10 days post surgery, and he was on crutches for 3-4 weeks. And Dr Jokhai said after, “oh yeah I meant walking with crutches”.

If the base sends you here, advocate for yourself, try less invasive first, do your homework, or ask to get referred omewhere else! We won’t be back.

The staff is friendly, but Doctor complete asshat. My husband came a while back seen this energetic Indian doctor, which no offense to the man hes probably a great guy. But my husband wanted Toe Shortening Surgery. He wanted to treat the symptoms and no deal with the cause of the problem. I took a year and half and a doctor from Atlanta to deal with the problem. So thanks alot for freaking nothing. We will not be returning for any type of service.

My first impression of this office was when I called to make an appointment. Whomever I scheduled with on the phone was so kind and helpful. I got an appointment very quickly and in a timely manner which I was so pleased with due to the pain I’ve been having in my foot for months.
Today was my very first in person visit to this office. I was kindly greeted as soon as I walked in by the sweetest, professional, and smiley front office worker or manager. The lobby only had 2 other patients in it which I was also very happy about. Not seeing an over booked doctor was a huge relief as now a days that’s hard to find. As soon as I was finished filling out the new patient paperwork, it was soon that I was called back into a room. The nurse who took me back I believe was named Lilly. She too was so pleasant and she and the office worker/manager worked well together. You could tell they truly loved their jobs and liked working as a team together. Lilly even complemented my outfit and made small talk with me. It didn’t feel like I was just a number in a doctor’s office. As soon as Dr Jokhai came in the room he listened. I had also brought pet scan results from my oncologists office at Mayo. A lot of Doctors wouldn’t have even taken the time to read reports like that but Dr Jokhai did. He even made small talk with me to get to know me and told me a little about himself as well. He had a great bedside manner. He was very attentive and immediately knew what pain I was feeling and why. I didn’t have to wait for answers. He found a solution to help right away to help relieve my pain and took X-rays to check for other possible issues like possible Spurs. The staff and Dr provided me with exercises to do at home also instead of having to go to expensive physical therapy. I’m not dreading going back for my check up in a month because this first visit was such a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this office to all of my friends and families. If you want a Dr and health workers who truly care about your podiatry needs, this is the office for you! I’m so thankful I found them.

5+ years later and the pain never came back. When I was on active duty I had pain in my right foot due to running so much. I had foot surgery a month later and they knocked me out for the surgery. I woke up with a coke and some very nice people welcoming me back to reality. I didn't feel the surgery nor remember it. It was perfect as I hate needles. After I healed up my foot was tight for awhile but it got better. After retiring from the service I also retired from running and my foot is now perfect. I would highly recommend this practice. On a side note it blows my mind.. people leave these "sad sack reviews" when they can't get along. There once was a time where people talked things out instead of running and hiding behind their keyboard. Take it from a retired vet. The doctor is excellent. I had a very good experience and I would go back there again.

Dr. Jokhai is awesome! I would recommend him to anyone that has issues with their feet. He goes above and beyond to ensure that you are taken care of properly. I am overly satisfied with the treatment that I have received under his care. To his staff (and maybe him!); I am sorry if I said anything under anesthesia!!!!!!
