Dr Galea was great! He was very professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and didn’t rush through my visit. The front office staff were polite, friendly, helpful, and efficient. The lab students did great. The other person in the lab ( don’t know her name; she wasn’t a student), was not friendly, and was actually a bit rude. She also wasn’t very professional. Other than that one person, everything / everyone was great.

Had my 1st appt with Dr Galea. I was very impressed. Previously I was being treated for RA& Lupus for 7yrs with a Dr in FL. I then moved to GA and seen a Dr In Brunswick. He had told me I didn’t have either, but was miss diagnosed. Instead I had RLS throughout my body. Which I didn’t agree with at all. Forward to today. Dr Galea has asked me more questions about my health than any other Dr has ever done before. He did a lot of tests also. I haven’t got the results back yet. But I feel I can trust what he will say because he is looking at the full pic. I am looking forward to my next appt. Everyone there seemed very nice. So glad I decided to make the 2 hr drive. It was worth it.

Update: I’m still seeing Dr Galea at Satilla Rheumatology in Waycross, GA. I also see Keisha Maloney MD and I couldn’t be any happier. Finally after being off my meds for 3 yrs I have been put back on them and feeling so much better. The joint pain isn’t making me want to cry anymore. The medical staff here have been superb and so supportive. I’m just so thankful to have found such a caring facility & staff. I hope this review will help others trying to find a good & caring Dr.

Dr Galea was very thorough. I felt like he listened to everything I said. I also saw Dr. Swinea in the Baxley office to get test results. Again the staff and Dr. were very knowledgeable and respectful.

Love Dr. Galea, he always seems to know what I need to change (meds) that is. I appreciate how he takes his time with me and ask questions as well as seems concerned with all meds I take even for depression. I feel like I am there to get treated appropriately and not just medicine thrown at me and told to take this. I like his follow ups. He is very respectful and considerate.

I have Sacoirdosdoss had been on prednisone since 1988 . I was sent to see Dr. GALEA and he change my life if not save it. He is the most caring doctor I've ever had the pleasure to be seem by . I have a appointment on February 13 2023 hope he is back in the office .

THIS DR KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT AUTOIMMUNE and He does not show any concern for his patients.
. I AM SICK. I DO NOT SEE a DR FOR THE HELL OF IT. He is labeled an Autoimmune Specialist. He absolutely is not. He saw me 1 time on an appointment that took 2 months to get. The only thing he did was run basic bloodwork (CBC BMP n a ANA profile) which was positive for Autoimmune Activity. HE HIMSELF SET MY FOLLOW UP 1 MONTH later JUST FOR LABS.
IT WAS YESTERDAY. DID I SEE DR. GALEA...NO!!! IT WAS HIS NURSE. I WASTED 3 more MONTHS GETTING SO SICK IM SCARED.
Falling into the misdiagnosed category.
REMEMBER He is a Doctor 1st. That's what MD stands for. Dr. Galea has forgotten this. He even said "You will need to see your Primary for this"
My Primary HCP sent me to HIM!!! SHOULD BE LAWS AGAINST DR.s that steal your money.

I love it here. Everyone has always been friendly and polite. Always receive advance notice about upcoming appts. I like that everything I need such as labs, x-rays, seeing the doctor and treatment is all done right there. Love it.

If I could give negative stars I would. Very unprofessional doctors. I have lupus and have been waiting over three months just to get a script. All they do is bloodwork and never address the issues.
