I had the most amazing time at Gordon schanzlin new vision clinic. The two girls Grayson and Vivian were very friendly and helpful. Dr. Geffen was very kind and explained everything thoroughly and left me feeling great knowing the status of my vision. All in all glad I came here and not somewhere else and feel confident with the tips I received and the service from the whole team.

I went to this office for my dry eyes. I was impressed with the customer service provided from the moment I walked through the front door. Liv and Grayson at the front desk greeted all patients with a smile and were very efficient in their duties. I saw Wendy Jones, OD, who was professional, knowledgeable and explained what was going on with my dry eyes. Also, my interaction with all staff members in passing was a pleasant experience. I would recommend Gordon Schanzlin New Vision Institute to anyone! I had LASIK performed last week and received top notch care from the initial consultation through to the post-op follow up. Everyone was so kind and made the process extremely easy. I felt calm and really trusted the knowledge of everyone I spoke with. I am not normally one to leave reviews but felt I had to share my great experience here, as they truly went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. You won’t be disappointed!

From the reviews this looked a like a good choice, and they offer a lifetime guarantee on the procedure. I thought that this would be a good choice to fix my mild nearsightedness (about 20/40 one eye and 20/60 in the other).

What they do leave out is they only offer the lifetime warranty if you go every year to their optometrist (which insurance may not cover) and they have to recommend you get it done again. If you don't or skip one year they will no longer honor the lifetime warranty.

When I had it done (Oct-2017) the procedure went well, and I was very strict to follow their healing instructions. My vision was 20/20 for about 8 months, and then reverted back to the way it was before the surgery. I saw their optometrist, whom said yes the surgery did not work and that I can have it done again, but I should wait a year to let my eyes heal rather than back to back surgeries.

I waited a year and saw the optometrist again, his response the second time was that I had age related nearsightedness that is not covered on their lifetime warranty. It was a bit disappointing to spend such a substantial amount of money, but end up with the same vision as I had from the before the surgery.

I never felt like writing a review, but yesterday I spent the afternoon shopping for new glasses and felt the need to write one since I spent a lot of money and risk to my eyes but resulted in no improvement.

Dr. Julio Echegoyen at Gordon Schanzlin did my cataract and glaucoma surgeries. Excellent experience all around, from Kay who managed my case, the office staff, the technicians, the surgery center, Dr. Echegoyen who performed the surgeries, and Dr. Pennell who did the follow-up adjustments on the Light Adjustable Lens. I have always been highly nearsighted, and it is a miracle that I can function without glasses now, so amazing. Got nervous when insurance inexplicably denied coverage on the second eye, but the folks at Gordon Schanzlin were so helpful in getting that worked out. Highly recommend!

I had a lasik procedure several years ago, and it was done by Michael Gordon. When I came in for an initial consultation for that lasik procedure, he was extremely nice. I was very excited for it came with a LIFETIME warranty, as long as I have my yearly eye exam done. I made sure my yearly eye exams are done because I don't want to lose my warranty. Today, 9/16/24, I saw him because my vision seems to be worse. My optometrist said my eyes need correction, based on her findings. Surprise, surprise! Michael Gordon came to the room and told me that I DO NOT qualify for a revision; however, he can do another lasik, BUT I have to pay for it. He said my worsening vision is due to my age. He also claims I have an early cataract that won't be covered by my eye insurance since it's an early onset. He said he needs to remove the cataract first, then do the lasik revision, but guess what? I have to pay for both procedures myself. WHAT What a FRAUD!!! He is also ABSOLUTELY SARCASTIC, ABSOLUTELY NARCISSISTIC and EXTREMELY RUDE and VERY INSULTING!!!! When I asked for copies of my eye exams they just did today, it took very long to print 2 pages. They made sure not to include everything, and they picked which to give me. If you're looking to have lasik, I strongly advise you go somewhere else. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE of this office/company!!!

I'm about 4 years post surgery and I've been wearing glasses ever since. My optometrist recommended that I have another corrective surgery about 8 months after the first one, but I had such an awful experience that I'm not willing to do it again, especially at this facility. I did not feel prepared or adequately supported for the procedure or the after effects. Everyone made it seem like you wake up and can see, which was not the case for me. I had severe light sensitivity and glare for several months which kept me from driving at night. The dry eyes have been unbearable since the surgery and the only thing they recommended were eye drops that cost $100s a month. I'm now seeing a dry eye specialist and still wearing glasses. This eye surgery is one of my biggest regrets and I wish someone would have better informed me of the very real risks associated with LASIK.
