I can not express my disappointment with the Hess Orthodontics app, phone, customer service, appointment, and contact processes. Their online information on several platforms is outdated or provides useless information. Several contact numbers can be found in which all send you to a phone service hub. The only option is to leave a message that will never be returned. Dozens of calls with messages were unresponsive. My son has gone months between appointments because appointments can not be made unless in person. The app locks customers out from their information proving to be useless. Billing can be block for one child but process for another. I had two children receive services with Hess. This is the last company I would recommend for Orthodontics needs. Only after truthful negative review comments will the customer be contacted.

EA Smiles is the company that I started with both of my kids and got stuck with Hess after the merger. I wish the merger never happened because until then I was very satisfied. Hess has ruined everything EA Smiles delivered.

We loved EA smiles, but since Hess Orthodontics has taken over, it's been a nightmare, to say the least. If you ever need to call in for scheduling, you never get a response in the Winter haven location, and if you leave a voicemail, forgot it, you won't get a return call. Also if you call the main location and ask them for help, they will state, they aren't fully merged and can't help you. Im beyond frustrated, I asked for monthly appointments since my son is going on 4 yrs of his treatment plan, they want to see us every 3 months, which is unacceptable. I wish I had something good to say. I pray once they fully established and doctors are ready to work, this will be a problem of the past. But the last yr. has been a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend treatment here, until they get all the kinks out.

We are very disappointed in the fact that appoints consistently were moved or canceled and when her braces were supposed to come off prior to starting school and consistently pushed because no doctor was available and I've left several messages on multiple occasions and no one returned my calls. I've brought all 6 of my kids and never had a bad experience so we feel the change to Hess was when things went south,

Fix it or tear it up real good “Rico”

We’ve been coming here for my son’s Invisalign treatment, but lately, the experience has been frustrating. It was difficult to set up an appointment, and when we finally did, his Invisalign had been sent all the way to Riverview instead of a closer location. My son went about two months without a visit due to these issues.

The closest location for us is in Winter Haven, but appointments there were rarely available. Thankfully, my son is almost done with his treatment, but the lack of staffing or dentists (perhaps they’ve quit?) has been a major inconvenience.

This practice used to be much better organized, but something has definitely changed. I hope they address these staffing issues and improve their scheduling process soon.

3 years ago my daughter did treat with EA Smiles with Dr.A but now they have merged to Hess and Dr.A is gone.
I continued to proceed with Hess, boy was I in for a shock. The whole office experience has changed.

The consultant was great, I paid and was booked. Two weeks before appointment they cancel and push my appointment further away. I get it, things happen so no biggie. I come to my 10:30 appointment today, and I could tell immediately it was going to be a wait. The office was overly crowded with no sitting room for some people. Eventually the desk staff went to get some spare folding chairs and desk chairs from the back. I patiently wait because I understand some times things happen and you run behind. After waiting about hr and almost 15 mins I was called back. They informed me immediately due running behind, they wouldn’t have time to install braces today (the whole reason for the visit today). After express my disappointment for having me wait so long and now being told this as well as two appointments being totally use less. And seeing 15+ people in waiting room and them talking about not being able keep a dentist or get one to come from another location that I would like to cancel contract and seek treatment elsewhere. I could for see this being and on going issue with scheduling. I had no issues with them canceling my contract so thats a plus.
