Very knowledgeable, empathetic and seems to be very caring. Sociable and nice to his patients. I'm well pleased but certain staff was unable to help me in my referral for another surgeon via his referral. That was disappointing. I did receive a call back to see was I able to find a Dr but I was told I shouldn't have to handle that part!!!! Other than that my visit was informative.

Dr.Sims is a good doctor. He listen to all my pains and concerns. I really seem to care about his paient and love what he do. Parking is just ok. The bulid was clean, bathroom was clean,his office was clean with great lighting.
On the other hand his staff. They are very unprofessional and unpatient with you the patient. They don't care if you don't understanding what's next or whats to expect because then they want to talk to you like your slow. His staff is just dang right rude. They really make him look bad. Plus his staff knows that if you a patient under working comp then your stuck with their rudely behavior. Just make sure if you don't have rough skin Dr. Sims office is not it because the abuse is there and his crew will definitely let you have it.

Dr. Sims is amazing back surgeon. He has operated on me twice...once on my lower back in 2009, and then on my neck.in 2023. I had and have no qualms in returning to him, should it be necessary. I always recommend him to anyone who is having back or neck pain. He is always honest and doesn't hesitate to tell you if he feels you need someone other than himself, if he feels it is not something he specializes in. He sent me to a neurosurgeon in Savannah (Dr. Lindley) after talking with other surgeons and neurosurgeons to find THE best one to do the surgery I needed. Dr. Sims is a God send to Tifton and the surrounding areas. I am so glad I was blessed to meet and accept his expertise and knowledge to help me with my pain and fixing my back and neck..THANK YOU, Dr. Sims. May God be with you always and guide your hands as you fix the backs and necks of those in need. Not only are you a blessed and amazing surgeon., but also a man of integrity, who cares greatly for your patients. Stay as humble and caring as you are all the days of your life and follow after God with all your heart always and you will never be sorry! There will definitely be a pile of rewards for you when you come before the throne of Jesus that the angels may have to help you carry them all!!!

The staff are very nice and respectful and Dr.Sims Hewatt is the very best orthopedist surgeon he makes sure you understand your surgery if necessary and will tell you the truth if other treatment plans won't fix your problem. He and his team pay attention to every single detail to make sure you get the very best treatment plan available to your needs.

I was referred to Dr Mac Sims by my primary care doctor for chronic back pain. He is absolutely the best orthopedic surgeon in southeast Georgia!! Excellent skills and bedside manners!!!
