I started calling the office around 10 AM to cancel my appointment for the following day but no one ever answered the phone. Their Voicemail said that if I would leave a message they would call me back? I left a message requesting that they cancel the appointment and I never got a call back. Finally, I left a message on the Patient Portal and I DID get a reply letting me know that there were no appointments scheduled for me.

This was my first visit. The staff was very attentive, quick and thorough. Dr. Desai is very sweet and seems to cover all bases. I haven't been to a doctor in many years (no need to) but first impressions with her is I'm satisfied.

I went to see Dr Desai for a weight loss plan. My 1st appointment was cancel as I was pulling in the parking lot. The 2nd appointment was horrible. I should have followed my gut instinct to leave when I was being taken back to a room and Dr Desai was yelling at a patient to get back to the room. He said he had been waiting already 2 hours and she told him he’d wait as long as it took. I was as placed in the room and waited about 20 minutes for her to come in. She started looking over the 12 pages I had to complete before the appointment. One of the 1st questions she asked me was did I want her to be my PCP. I said no, I’m here for the weight loss plan. Then a medical technician came in and was talking to her about another patient. When she got back to me she asked again if I wanted her to be my PCP, again I said no. She then got up, told me to follow her. She brought me to the checkout and told the lady to give me brochures. Dr Desai walked away and didn’t say anything else to me.
When I received a bill for $155, I called my insurance company, told them not to pay her, explained the situation, but they had already paid her. I then called her office and told them I wasn’t paying for a RUDE doctor who spent less than 5 minutes with me only to give me brochures since I didn’t want her as my PCP.
I’ve dealt with her collection staff, 2 of her office managers, then a response from the last office manager telling me Dr Desai said it’s been too long and I have to pay.
If this goes to the credit bureau, I will pay only $1, when I feel like it, so she can’t say I’m not attempting to pay.

I am deeply disappointed with the service at this clinic. My elderly father-in-law, who has COVID-19, has been waiting for over 5 hours for an essential medical prescription, despite multiple attempts to contact the clinic. The lack of response and delay in addressing such an urgent situation are unacceptable. This demonstrates a serious disregard for patient health and well-being. I do not recommend this clinic for anyone in need of efficient and reliable medical care.

Dr. Desai and her staff were phenomenal. They were friendly from start to finish and very informative. I needed a new primary care that listened to my concerns and needs. I highly recommend Dr. Desai and her team.

Dr. Desai is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor. I am new to this area and thankful I have her as my primary care doctor! Her staff were all friendly and professional which I really appreciate too!

The staff are always friendly each time I have been there. Dr. D was short staffed today so I had to wait a bit but she apologized and the atmosphere was happy so I didn’t mind waiting too much even though I didn’t feel very good. I came in for back pain and was even offered a pillow for my back while I was waiting. I really feel that they try and go the extra mile. Even though they were swamped, they were upbeat and professional. The front desk staff were especially kind and happy, (which eased my stress and anxiety right away). Thanks for bringing some sunshine and making it easier to be sick. 🙂 Also,I think Dr D is a great doctor.

As a family member of a patient at IFMC who caught covid - apparently the doctor in charge does not value their patients.

First, we are told the office is "slammed" busy (on a friday afternoon) and the office cannot seem to look up a fax number to receive a prescription at a pharmacy. Therefore the patient was requested by the office to provide the fax number of the pharmacy (calling the pharmacy, doing the medical center's job).

To further elaborate, the staff there do not seem to be well versed in contacting pharmacies. We were told 3-4 members of the office were working to contact the pharmacy (experiencing difficulties) after they had their patient call (with no difficulty) and obtain the fax number. Having the patient do the work on their behalf, while experiencing symptoms of illness. The training for this office is lacking to be brief.

Not to mention this practice does not reach out to contact the patient upon working any request. The patient is obligated to call several times to receive an update to any request.

I hope this practice can improve their care to patients in the future, and I am deeply concerned how other patients are cared for.
