Dr. Bariteau- LISTENS!!! That is major in the medical field. He was very honest and went in to detail about all the options I had to ensure that a month and a half from when I seen him I’d be able to walk for my wedding day, at least in a boot and pictures in my shoes (mind you I ruptured my Achilles tendon). His humor made me feel comfortable and his honest answer when I asked “If I was your daughter what would you suggest I do to ensure proper healing and after the healing phase I’d be back to normal activity?”

Before going into surgery, he checked on me prior to getting anesthesia which really made me comfortable that he didn’t just leave his nurses to do the work but he ensured that he and his team have done this PLENTY of times before and I should be just fine. He explained again in a short window aside from our previous appts how the surgery would go as far as what he would have to do and the incision he would make and what would need to happen when going home.

Plus he’s from upstate NY as well and so he talks my language 😂 But all went well- Bridal shower went great I decorated the boot with flowers…Wedding day was beautiful!!! Boot blinged out (Kudos to my Mother in-law and my new aunt) and knee scooter was decorated too!!

I did and I’m continuing to do exactly what he says and I’m still in my healing process no issues, no complications and no infection.

Dr. Bariteau truly deserves 5 stars! I was fortunate to find him while searching for a Lapiplasty surgeon, and I'm so grateful I did. He performed surgery on my left foot in December 2023 and just completed my right foot yesterday. Despite the post-op pain 😆, I couldn’t be happier with the results! He completely corrected my left foot and even fixed a hammer toe on my pinky – his work is flawless. During my recovery, Dr. Bariteau discovered I was vitamin D deficient, which was slowing my bone healing. His attention to detail is remarkable. He’s been with me every step of the way, often seeming more concerned about my progress than I am! But I trust his work fully, knowing the results will be a success. Amazing surgeon, dedicated team, top-notch facility – I highly recommend him!

1-Year Update on Left Foot:
I am absolutely thrilled with the progress and results of my left foot! It’s been a year since the surgery, and the difference is incredible.
I’m now almost three months post-surgery on my right foot (9/10/24), and it’s healing beautifully. My left foot, however, feels perfect. The bunions are completely gone, my toes are perfectly aligned, and I even tested my worst-fitting sneakers yesterday—my pink suede Pumas. These shoes used to squeeze my bunions so badly they were practically busting through the material, causing unbearable burning pain. Now, they fit like a glove with zero discomfort!
I can’t say enough great things about this surgeon and his team. Their work has truly been life-changing, and I am beyond grateful.
