Over the years my family has been to the emergency room 3 times, last one being this past weekend. We have had outstanding care each time we have been there. It is an emergency room, so you need to wait if someone else needs care more than you do - not sure everyone understands that. I cannot say enough good things about the ER and the people that work there. Thanks for all that you do!

If I could leave zero stars I would. I was recently at Johnson Memorial Hospital the way the staff treats patients is unacceptable. This hospital needs to be investigated and shut down. The staff doesn't care about there patients. All they care about is getting there paycheck and going home. One of the nurses spilled my soda and got it on the table and all over the floor and couldn't be bothered to clean it up. There was garbage on the floor that wasn't picked up until after I was discharged. This hospital needs to be investigated and shut down for sanitary reasons and how they treat and talk to patients.

I stayed at Johnson Memorial Hospital for 3 days after I had a bad kidney infection and sepsis. It was one of the scariest times of my life, I just wanted to make it home to my kids and I was scared I was not going to. Dr. Edward’s, Dr. Grillo, Nurse Alexis, Nurse Carley, Nurse Roberta, and Nurse Beatrice made sure that I was going home and took the best care of me. They eased my anxiety and fear, and took such good care of me. It was the best care I’ve ever received at a hospital. I’m forever grateful. Thank you! -Caitlin Loiselle

Went to the ER today and was seen by Dr. GRILLO. As always the staff is wonderful, Dr. Grillo was very nice, listened to my problem I was having. He was efficient, ordered a medication and called in a few more things to help me. Best of all I was out in 2 hours! The half our ride to Johnson is always worth it.

The Acute Psychiatric Unit is an absolute joke and needs to be shut down. Dr. Strom refused to listen to anyone, but himself because he is the Director. I was told I had rights which were posted on the wall and he consistently ignored them and me. He took away my normal medication that I was on for over a year with my therapist. Then tried forcing me to take a med and told me that was the reason I wasn’t getting out even though “I have a right to refuse.” Anytime I got upset with him specifically he tried to justify it by saying I was bipolar and based it on 4 10-minute conversations with him over 4 days and “observational nursing notes.” I was diagnosed with something completely different the day I left. The nurses rarely leave the nurses station to check in with you. There was mold all over my shower curtain and the bed smelled of urine. I was given 0 support for my ADHD or withdrawals. I never met with the dietitian and lost 5lbs over the course of 5 days. Please take care of your own family. They will return worse going here.

I don’t like to leave reviews. But if you want to see your loved ones come home alive DO NO SEND THEM HERE. Worst hospital in CT by far. You are better off taking the chance of going to Baystate or Hartford instead. At least those hospitals take care of people. First time back to Johnson in years since my last hellish experience and as I was being rolled in I hear the docs and nurses talking about their patients and just the craziest and most insane stories. All these negative reviews are not exaggerating. Please, I beg you, do not ever let you or a loved one go here.

If you think u might die, just stay home. This place will never get to u. Better off crossing the gates in the comfort of your own home..
Too much hoarse play between doctor/ PA and nurses delaying patient treatment.. Its a fun house.. Staff wearing massive amounts of perfume enough to take your breath away..
Poor Quality of Care.
I am sure they will respond with their generic message.. That is how much they truly care..
